No I'm still stuck D: the worst thing is that usually when I have an obsession it doesn't take long for me to exhaust my resources. But batman is so popular that there's so many shows and comics to check out I'm gonna be in here forever lol.
Oh dang what show was it? I'd be willing to try the book. I suck at reading too. I zone out every couple of paragraphs, but I always want to cause it makes me feel sophisticated Hahaha
It was from some silly thing a couple BBSers did a while back. I think Hatash was playing some zombie apocalypse game with our names inputted as the characters and Yukio made corresponding illustrations for what unfolded. Dug through some old pictures from it and found that one of me frustrated at something and was like "yes, this is it. this is me right now." lol
Lol but if I forget everything then I lose like 3 years of my life on God. I think I might succumb to Netflix soon. I'm finally in the mood for movies though so im gonna try to watch all the ones i never got around to. Also now that you've told me that I'm so damn excited!! I haven't been this excited since hunter x hunter haha
hahaha oh god. I watched like seven episodes a while ago ad then forgot all of them. But i at least remember it being really entertaining. I'm gonna rewatch it later, but I'm slowly forgetting all the animes i've watched helppp
Yes I know exactly what you mean! My brother and I have done that to each other so many times. Luckily I only mentioned ping pong as a good show a couple of times as I was watching it and he decided to watch it on his own. He really liked it too :D. But on the topic of good sound tracks, casshern sins had a beautiful sound track. Show itself was meh
Ahaha calm down. We still have some time to wait. I should Rewatch some gintama to get in the mood. Its been a while so it'd probably pretty awesome to do that.
Yeah the ending was probably one of the prettier moments in the show. Also I forgot to say last time but ping pong was awesome. And the first few seconds of the opening blew my mind. It was so badass haha.
Only two months? Yayy!! I'm looking forward to it.
Oh you liked darker than black soundtrack? I thought it was good but nothing said Yoko kanno in it. It sounded like a normal soundtrack to me. And with this one there were only a few pieces that sounded like kanno like the guitar one. Maybe I just don't pay enough attention hmmm.
Haha glad to hear you're enjoying it. If only there was an anime airing. Gonna have to ask you to not tell me anything ;(. Maybe I'll wind up reading it in the future but honestly I feel like that'd be a waste because I just can't seem to enjoy manga to their full potential.
Yeah I feel like the plot line of genius kids competing with each other immediately lowered my standards. It's just been used so many times and seems like an overly flashy concept to me. Speaking of people being off the hook, I didn't find the soundtrack all that great either. But then again, the darker than black soundtrack wasn't that great either.
I just went and rescored a bunch of animes. I had to lower the score of so many it was painful. But I realized that I hardly remember anything I watched that's rated under a 7. Especially specials and sports series. Makes me kinda sad.
His voice seems like an exaggerated version of the old one to me. Like he did a really good job with the first one and was trying really hard to replicate it. So now it sounds overly terse and more aggressive. I don't blame him though it seems hard to replicate.
"as if ZnT wasn't!?" you might say
ah, but here's the thing about that; for me it was still way more fun and more gratifying and generally more engrossing to watch
though I was hyping ZnT like crazy when it started so part of that score is me subconsciously not wanting to admit it had serious flaws, and I acknowledge that. I'd still rather watch ZnT over PP2 any day.
Haha well like I said I'm really lenient about scores right now cause everything seems good to me. It'll probably change later. That being said, I didn't find it horribly bad. It certainly didn't live up to their previous works, but after I got over that it kind of became another well animated thriller that I got some entertainment out if. But if people are saying great things about it, that seems a little silly. It's probably because of the names behind it.
Sigh. I think I need to rework my entire scoring system. Its not making sense to me anymore. But rescoring 200+ animes when I don't remember a quarter of them D:
I just remember first half felt like it was good but it wasn't really mushishi. Also, I couldn't get over the difference in the way that ginko talked. But the second half felt like mushishi. I have no idea why. And his voice is still messed up to me but I guess I've accepted it haha.
Man changing writers is so risky. I'd rather they just not do a second season. It seems like darker than black all over again.
Oh did you watch the latest wantanabe/kanno series? If you did what'd you think of it?
I wonder what the turn out for those types of movies are. American shows rarely get a movie made and if they do it almost never shows in theaters. I have to rewatch the first half of zoku shou cause I don't remember most of it but for some reason I enjoyed the second half so much more.

btw no worries, nothing this season looks like it'll blow my mind, so that means no pestering on the BBS. lol
Hahaha did not see that coming. I kinda wish they'd make a short or a trailer as a follow up xD
