No problem, I can always advise you on the shipping folder show, although I myself am not a big enthusiast of this. For example, a second season of Great Pretender was recently announced, and while both male leads have female interests, one of them was confirmed to be pansexual by the writers. So, you can easily interpret the chemistry between them however you want.

I know of at least 3 canonically platonic shows where the authors actually explicitly said that they had no intentions of writing any kind of romance, but they are not against if someone will ship the characters at will. Even 4, if you remember how MAPPA organized the rejection of romance in LWA.

I think you will be interested in reading the manga on the basis of which this anime was made. The ending quite clearly teases at least one BL pairing. Adviсe? Well, if you haven't watched it yet, Prince of Tennis, Saint Seiya and Hitman Reborn. These are the so-called shows of "bishonen JUMP syndrome", where the editors of Shonen Jump promoted the series of BL-bait-ish shonens to attract a female audience. The Prince of Tennis went so far that at one point the author began to parody himself by using yuri tropes in the dynamics of the male characters. Hitman Reborn was one of the first battle shonens with a dominant female audience. So much so that fandom destroyed any attempts by the author to add hot female characters and her next work, which you can see right now, is about two male detectives.

Well, given that the Japanese are more into teasing, ship goggles and suspense than the "canon" so beloved by Western audiences, many shows also fall into actual "no romance" territory instead of BL. For example, I'm pretty sure that Free and Tsurune is intentionally teasing BL ships, but both franchises don't go any further because they're specifically focused on an enjoyable shipping experience rather than full-blown romance. KyoAni had done this before with all-female shows, when Reina and Kumiko's platonic friendship was written as a quasi-visual romance, and Liz and Blue Bird's theatrical brochures explained how yuri shipping worked.

I don't know if you've watched this show, but there is a reverse harem about a desperate fujoshi that was written by an experienced BL author. And the anime gives some meta commentary on Japanese BL culture.

I think, the author is fully aware of the popularity of shipping in the fandom, as she deliberately develops many of the characters as shoujo archetypes. Especially considering how Adler became ikemen onna in the second season. It’s just that around the same time, Sherlock’s VA in theatrical production joked that the scene on the train was the moment when Sherlock and Moriarty “fell in love at first sight,” which many took as confirmation of the canon and the author hastened to refute it. I just see stacks quite often where people label all-male or female show as BL and Yuri due to shipping or fanservice, so I'm used to it.

But getting back to your stack, at least 2-3 of the shows in it are completely canon BL but don't have a tag due to the writers not considering it a core or defining theme. For example, G-Witch doesn't have a yuri tag due to the writers' ridiculous attempts to make it a spoiler or secret. Because of which a lot of people were really deceived and decided that it was still an intrigue, lol.

Author of Moriarty has denied that the manga is BL in any form. There was even a topic in an anime discussion about this a few years ago.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
