Hajime no Ippo: I haven't read the manga and I hear its ridiculously long so I probably won't but I just wanted to hear another's feedback. Would you feel like Ippo: Rising, kinda died down a little in terms of story line?

Excuse me, but could you tell me what are those "various sites" about episode discussion? Because I like discussions but I don't know many sites like this.

It's been ages since I read Eden, but from what I remember, the story did seem to lose focus a bit towards the end. Then again, one could argue that the "big picture" was always there in the background, and it was just a matter of time before the author would move on to tackle the "global" aspects of the story. Thankfully, the drop in quality was not dramatic enough to really impede with my overall enjoyment of the manga.

Good to hear my review cleared up some of your mixed feelings, hopefully you'll come across many more interesting manga in the future!

I've started to watch Detective Conan. Maybe I'll start with Akagi soon as well. Neh I decided to drop One Piece. Now that I'm watching Detective Conan it feels like a massive load off.

I've started watching it today, hopefully, I'll enjoy it this time

I'll check it out sometime in the future, but after that if I decide to drop it, it's probably gonna be final. I've dropped it twice already. But I'll reserve judgement for when the Arlong arc is over.

I'm doing the same. I'm currently also watching Batman TAS, The Twilight Zone and Disney series called The Weekenders. I'm done with adult dramas for a while after watching Breaking Bad. What do you think of Rome so far?

It's just so slow and boring. I've seen 30eps but I just don't have the patience. With Naruto, HxH and Dragonball I got hooked from the get go, I'm not used to waiting so long. And the frustrating thing is I know it gets better because I went through the later eps and it does look awesome.

I see you enjoyed Rainbow and you're planning on watching Grave of the Fireflies. Seeing that I recommend you try Now and Then, Here and There, it's pretty depressing but also really good.
