I've decided to start watching older series (well, kinda older series) and reviewing them in the blog section of my page. I've got my reasons for not using the regular review feature, so if you happen to stop by I'd appreciate folk checking it out.

I suppose I can't really call myself a newish anime fan anymore. It's been nearly a third of my life and the shows that brought me into the anime fold have been all but forgotten. Well, aside from Azumanga Daioh.

I've been trying to broaden my body of anime knowledge, so I've been branching into older stuff recently and finding that the classics of anime really aren't much different from the stuff on now. Rose tinted glasses and nostalgia.

I do a bit of novel reading. I play video games. I play pen-and-paper RPGs with my friends. My job is developing custom interfaces and control systems for LED-enhanced traffic signals. And I spend way too much time on anime and manga.

It's really weird being a productive member of society and a weeaboo.

Anyway...

Have a decent grasp of Japanese, so I read a lot of Japanese language manga. Way too much to even have a hope of keeping track here. So my manga list is woefully short of what I've actually read. My listening comp is weak, so I don't watch too much raw anime anymore. Work consumes too much time and I still generally need subs to fill in the gaps.

I have some rather heretical tastes in anime. Taking a careful look at my rankings should make that clear.
