Thanks for the link, taking a look through it now.
Just read through all of it, I guess it clears up quite a bit. I'm glad that the writers themselves were able to explain their ideas and even talk a bit about things they would have changed as well.
That's true, I felt that it was more about Kotarou as well compared to being about Kotori. It really felt like an intro route and it showed throughout. There were some moments there when they reunite and she talks about her past, but it just feels like the emotions were built up and just never fully reaches expectations.
Wow I almost forgot about Pani and Gil, yeah I want to know what happened to them in some of the paths as well.
Yeah I think it was the open ending and how Kotori never sought him out again although it was obvious that they liked each other. The worse part I think was how they were just thrown into the situation and it was barely resolved.
I would love to read it in English, but I can read some of it in Japanese, will probably just take longer.
Yeah that flame effect in Terra to tell you exactly what to do haha.
I see, guess I'll give Havest Festa a look then after finishing my current stack of VNs to get through.
Haha yeah it was pretty funny how in Terra most of those choices were there just to prove a point, and that only one choice was available anyways.
Yeah I thought they left an open ending as well, but that made it that much harder to relate to the character, especially with Shizuru. I mean you're a tree... Not sure how else to feel about that.
Hmmm I see your point, I do agree that it is more mature because of the setting and the overall theme is more mature because of it. It really brings out what human nature is really about and the two sides really shows it off pretty brilliantly.
It is indeed true that Lucia's route was well put together as a route since it had all things going for it. If anything I would say she was the best heroine and probably has the best written route.
I was wondering whether to play Harvest Festa hoping to resolve some of the lack of closure in some of the routes, but it doesn't seem to be the case from what I read. I do agree that there was a lack of closure in a lot of the routes, especially with Kotori's and Shizuru's. I also wanted to know what happened to Yoshino, considering how he was basically Koutarou's only male friend. Overall though, I thought Terra made for an interesting ending and the build up to it made it more spectacular.
Indeed it was quite a different experience, for me my favorite route was probably Akane's just because of how much information was thrown into a single route and how consistent it was all the way through. I agree that Lucia's route was also very good and probably got the most emotionally out of that route. The writing for Rewrite felt more mature overall compared to previous works and as a whole was quite a fun read.
