Yeah... kind-of. I though it was going to be economics, but so far it's almost exclusively math with a bit or programming around the edges (by the way - mixing the two can make a hellish experience). So far I only had a course in Micro- and macro-economics, and next month I'm starting logistics. The rest basically goes like this:
(matrix) algebra -> precalculus -> differential calculus -> matrix calculus
and
intro to stats -> probability th.(+calc) -> statistics -> advanced stats (+matrix calc) -> econometrics
there's also some optimization courses, which tie in closely with programming, and the occastional economic course. I had no idea what I was going into when I applied o_O
At the moment I'm finishing advanced stats and programming, so I haven't even started the subject of my bachelor XD
Hm, what I enjoy most... that's definitely the programming courses, at least so far. I think I might go to study programming after I finish econometrics instead of a master;s then... but that's after I finish with my bachelor... I think one of the 3 majors we can take involves a lot of programming, I could go for that one...
What I'm worried about with that is that I loose interest in many things quite quickly - something I really enjoy doing at one point might make me shudder a few years later.

By the way, what did you mean by 'hopefully a few months'? You might have to study for longer?

I've just started the second year of my Econometrics bachelor. I'm just doing the required subjects at this point and haven't chosen my major though... I can't decide if I should go for statistic-based topics because I find them so interesting or to avoid them because almost all of the theory is way over my head >_< The programming courses can be lots of fun though :)

Ah well, can't do everything at once, now can you? I'm also on a kind-of hiatus. I have been for more than a year now too :( My study's pretty demanding so I just stick to replying to comments and PM's, with an occasional extra little tidbit here or there.
