Well I actually know next to nothing about the music x) I hear most of the classics in such shows and because of that I think that those covers are better than the original versions(which I am checking later) x).
Btw. I've seen some comments(from British people) that this years BGT finalists were better than any of the XF 2012 ones.

As for the show itself, the only way to watch it was youtube(I'm from Poland) and edition 2011 was disastrous in terms of the amount of talent. But honestly - 2012 was the greatest of them all(though, there are rumours that the show execs approached some of the acts - that would explain an extremely high level of the competition).
I've never really gave a chance to XFactor, watched only some extreme bits(these two chubby girls, or "the best audition ever" - guy name was Danyl or sth like that), but I admit that Cheryl Cole is lovely.
So maybe you are a football fan? How about Euro which is around the corner?
