about me, (picture for those who dont like reading without pictures) *begin boring life story* I started anime back in november of 2014 and have been addicted ever since. it all started with me in school browsing 9gag laughing at memes when i came across a post with amagi brilliant park , the screenshots were from when sento asked kanie kun out with the gun in her hand, that struck me as incredibly interesting somehow i decided i wanted to watch this weird show that id never even heard of, and once i found it and started watching it i couldnt stop and reached the point where i caught up with where it was currently airing, after that i was addicted and proceeded to watch even more shows. anime is awesome, and a reason why i am slowly becoming even more unmotivated, but i will keep at expanding my list like so many other anime watching gods on this site that are the same age as me but have like 100 days on me watching anime. i have no idea where you people my age got that time from, but alas i shall catch up, some day, when i can finally finish naruto shipooden and its 400 something episodes(probly not). on the otaku side i dont think im a huge otaku other than my anime watching habits, but i did happen to stumble across vocaloid music by chance, and i fell in love. but im into listenin to all kinds of music, except for pop music; as much as i love singing along with katy perry i just cant love the genre(neon trees is an exception to this rule) i wish i were as cool as some of the keyboard warriors on here that amuse me with their words but alas, i am still a small fish in the pond, maybe after i have lived a little more i'll have more interesting stuff about me that looks macho and manly- *end amazing and incredibly intriguing life story* (random essay(i love writing)) Recently i really got into retro anime and retrowave music so i've been going back in time with the 80's style anime and music and have been absolutely loving it. theres so much gold out there that no one likes anymore simply because of the animation style, but honestly that is what helps with the old charm. but im also one of those people that likes old stuff simply because its old, like my dream car of an old 1971 gtr hakosuka, in my opinion the years from 1967-73 ish were the best years for car designs, the american muscle cars at their prime, the japanese ones as well. the italian and european cars werent too shabby either, though they probably hit their prime ten years earlier with the 1960's le mans races with some of the most famous le mans racers of all time, including the 250 gto, one of the rarest and most sought after ferraris ever. but side track aside, the eighties were when everything in anime changed, the eighties was when anime became popular in japan. shows like macross and gundam and gunbuster were all about space and the future and alternate universes and everything was awesome. even today we still use so many ideas from the eighties in culture references and it is amazing and respectable that the producers today pay homage to the still somewhat recent history of anime. when i was on a tangent on the history of japan when watching through the streets of japan in 4k, one of those gopro hd videos, when i saw something or other about the bosuzoku cars and style, which i really liked so i decided to do some research on the bosuzoku style. turns out the bosuzoku is a gang of people usually ages 16-20 with a will to rebel. they take what they can in terms of cars and motorcycles, often using cheaper types but they still customize them to their style. back in the eighties when the bosuzoku were first appearing for the most part, they had uniforms and organized gangs and other stuff that really set them apart. now they werent like western riders who did it for the drugs or stuff like that, the bosuzoku did it for the rebellious nature they had against the perfect japanese culture set upon them. now realizing this after i had watched akira, this is what tetsuo felt, he felt rebellious and he was in fact a part of a bosuzoku group. the year in which akira was made was really when the idea of bosuzoku was in its prime. so when i was reading all this stuff about the culture of japan it really made me amazed at how much it was speaking to the citizens of japan, that doing things that way was wrong and that there was only pain and suffering if they took up that violent path. so yea i find retro stuff really amazing, not to say there isnt good stuff out there now, i dont know why there are all the hardcore "moe sucks and thats all japan makes nowadays" people hating on the current japan, times change, as do the tastes. the eighties was when the stars and universe and spacey themed shows were popular, its when the lamborghini countach, one of the most space shippy looking cars ever made until then, came out. then the 90's calmed it down and then it turned into everything else there is today. if you complain about the lack of creativity for anime shows, take a look at the american entertainment industry, there have been so many remakes of spiderman and the transformers and the teenage mutant ninja turtles i have lost count. those too they dont even bother to rename. when you look at american shows compared to anime from japan, there is no pot for american shows, simply because they are made differently. however that is what is happening to anime where they are starting to make more and more shows purely episodic, so its not necessarily a degradation for japan, more of a fusing of cultures. so perhaps there is mostly moe garbage out there now show wise, but that doesnt mean you should only complain. maybe there are better shows out there, it just takes a little exploring. but as much as i hate to say it there is always going to be a limited amount of 80's anime because no one makes it the same anymore. but thats not a bad thing, as it should be in its own class with its own style. If the show is even slightly entertaining i usually like it; some people feel like they have to analyze the shows as if they were business proposals, when thats done you kinda lose the enjoyment of it all in my opinion so i just try to take it for what it is and enjoy the ride. manga isnt really my thing, id rather read books or watch animes bc reading the mangas online just doesnt float my boat. 300 th anime: Code Geass *throws confetti* *got some fav screenshot moments at the bottom of the life story* FAV VOCALOID SONG EVER https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4i-lPWliW8 muh persounal rating system 1)dont ever watch this ever 2) i had resist throwing my computer out while watching 3) it was terrible and hair tearingly bad 4) not hair tearingly bad but still bad 5) disappointing more than anything, like a slow wi-fi connection that wont load anime 6) forgettable everytime i see the title without a picture 7) decent, but full of either bad animation or terrible plots 8) enjoyable, but not lovable, mostly due to unwanted romance or people dying inconveniently 9) liked it a lot, might rewatch, laughed at least twice an ep, almost a love but a few things missing 10)everything i want in a girl, pretty, funny, smart... all of these apply to anime too, the art, the comedy, the plot; however the anime is more realistic to find so im gonna have more ten rated animes if you care enough to see which animes i like and why because you are looking for new ones to watch or looking for some random opinion, i have some favorites down here i talk about excitedly with much opinion: (i wrote these in chronological order, so the first few ones arent going to be as well thought out as the ones near the end, as my views and appreciation changed dramatically and so i started writing differently) Oda Nobuna no Yabou, because it was funny and awesome and really different from the norm in anime styles from what ive seen. if anything watch it for the harem or the comedy; it has serious parts in addition to the comedy, and both are fantastic, but the action is what i remember it for. the action is fantastic i highly recommend this as a great blend of multiple genres Ookami to Koushinryou, because it wasnt just another romance anime. it had a lot to do with the times and folklore which really made it stand out because that made the characters and story meld really well Highschool dxd, um this was one of the first few animes i watched after amagi brilliant park and i really enjoyed it after i watched it after reading the synopsis on here because i found it interesting and truth be told i really liked it after that because yes it was ecchi and comedic and i wasnt as involved in the world of anime and it was just fantastically entertaining. Sakurasou no pet na kanjou, i know its on my favorites list but this has to be my all time favorite for animes because not only did it leave a lasting impression on me in the first four episodes by having a meaningful conflict totally resolved (and me being so happy because i realized there were still another twenty episodes to go), but the characters and story really just stand out as some of the best. i laughed and cried with this anime, the latter being super rare i didnt know i was still capable of crying at a story. i honestly had to take a break from this once i got to episode 19 because i really didnt want it to end because i loved it so much. but it really left a place in my mind as an anime that stands out and takes reality and puts a spin on it that makes you wonder about yourself while the characters on the show do that same thing. the romance in it wasnt too shabby either, it being present really helped to bring the story and characters together even more. as ive said im a sucker for romance and this could be classified as a romantic comedy and i seriously loved it. i would have written a review on it but everyone else has already done that praising it and singing about their love for it, im no different but i think that anyone who hasnt seen it should at least give it a try so that they can experience what the hype is about. interesting fact about this anime i found a picture of shiina on an edm music video on some electronic music channel before i ever thought of trying out romantic comedies and after i watched ep 1 i got addicted... all because of that one click on youtube... sword art online, because i feel like the whole mc cant be a badass thing is stupid, and the awesomeness of kirito was a breath of fresh air from most of the other animes where the protagonist is always weak. though its merits are similar to naruto, which i have watched since forever, it still manages to shine. i went into this expecting the action and the romance that came in halfway through was not unappreciated and i really enjoyed that how it gave people something to fight for more than just their lives, like not being selfish and not living only to survive, but to survive with those you love. so yea count me in with the sao lovers. although the real life problems were really taboo at times and actually freaky things i feel like the anime was still good as a whole. Zero no Tsukaima, this is probly a sore spot for a lot of people but i really loved this anime, the first season at least, because it was funny and charming right off the bat and that made it seem really good even though the plot was a little wishy washy i still enjoyed it a lot and it still stands out from the sea of tsundere master girl and brave hero/secret badass servant that changes as time goes on, lately ive seen a lot of these like seikon no dragonar and Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance. ZnT was a good run for the first season, id definitely recommend it but unless you loved it to death like me i dont know if youd enjoy the second season as much, as it starts developing a plotline and strays away from the carefree comedy episodes it usually has. Sankarea, i really loved the character rea, she was so nice and adorable and not to mention she was drawn really differently but with good style. i really like the black hair red eyes look in anime and yuuko from tasogare x amnesia, akame from akame ga kill also got my attention, mostly because it looks so different from the normal characters, not to say they all look the same, but most have an identifiable stereotype such as their hairstyle giving away what their personality is like. but the story and stuff was really good for what it was. sankarea was one of the few animes that ive read the manga with, and it followed along really well but there wasnt much left after i guess i stopped reading it when i finished the anime and the ovas in the manga. however, i thoroughly enjoyed the anime series. it is kinda like a romeo juliet story though but it has potential and i enjoyed watching it. MM!, i went into this show skeptical and really enjoyed it after because it made me laugh a lot mostly because its inappropriate for watching in public due to the language and such presented. still hilarious and i laughed every episode, its a great comedy Toradora!, i think that toradora was amazing and such i mean i still go back to the toradora page looking for more animes like it, but nothing can really compare to the epic story and dramatic side that it has. the characters are really lovable and the setting may be old by now if you've got a few animes of that genre under your belt, but it just shines where it is. i felt really hopeless after this ended because i wanted so much more at the same time i was glad it was over. i felt the same way for sakurasou no pet na kanojou, but for toradora it was a more pronounced romance. i never knew i would like romance animes so much before i watched this one. i really liked ryuuji, and i found him to be an awesome main character who stands out as being really kind and responsible, those may seem like lame reasons, but you cant help but like the guy after seeing what he has been through. taiga is also a little lovable bundle of joy, not only for her bearable tsundere personality but also for how much she changes throughout the course of the show. the best animes are the ones where you can watch it and think "wow i never would have expected things to turn out so brilliantly" but thats exactly what this does. toradora doesnt have a gigantic plotline or anything but it is great fun to watch with plenty of laughing and sitting on the edge of your seat in between. golden time was by the same author or whatnot and i watched that too but golden time just cant compare at all because the toradora story is one you cant predict and its one that really keeps you wondering what happening and why you havent found out yet and why you arent watching the next episode already. after like episode twelve i was addicted because it brought in all that it set up in the beginning of the series and really brought to light all the facets of this amazing story. meanwhile golden time waits til like episode 19 which was not as satisfying. however toradora doesnt hold a place on my main favorites because i love it so much. if someone were to look at my favorites looking for a new anime to watch they would most likely have seen the shows on there if they are all popular. shortly put, toradora is an amazing show that you have to give a try if you are even considering watching a romance or a comedy that has romance in it. Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?, this was one of those animes that you start watching as a what the heck why not kinda thing. i sure did, and i came out a fan. the whole synopsis doesnt really cover the story, rather the first episode. it has a lot of sick humor and funny moments, but it also has a lot of touching scenes too where you cant help but take it seriously and admire the actual story. the second season is good too. i thought it was pretty good because the main character was not a lifeless lump, rather a lifeless( zombie) likeable guy who has good qualities he doesnt show to everyone. if anything watch this show for the characters as they are all funny in their own way Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai, First off, WATCH ALL THREE SEASONS, second off, if the first season interested you in the slightest, then you should definitely try out the other two seasons. the first season is pretty interesting and different as an anime idea and the whole being too into virtual girls to care about real ones seems annoying, but when you stick with it and go through all three seasons it all makes sense and it just comes together in such a fantastic way you cant help but wonder if they planned it or it just turned out that much better with each season. in fact this was one of the few animes that improved with a second season, and then more so with a third. the characters are all lovable, and unique in their own way. katsuragi is just under appreciated but man does he pull through and turn everything around. He did for me at least, he went from being a normal easy to hate mc to someone I understood and respect. the first seasons’ music is what made me go back and try out the second season. all for you by kanon got stuck in my head and now i have the song. the romance of the show is funny and serious at the same time because it is actually a lot more realistic than most of the other romances out there because it goes into depth for what each girl likes and what it would take to suit their tastes while not losing sight of the main plot. That made the romance feel like a lot more than just an accidental panty flash and then a run in and wham she loves him. It was a lot more structured, and therefore it became much more interesting. katsuragi definitely turns up near the end and i couldnt help but admire him and the series. id say this story is topped with comedy and ridiculousness but underneath there is a meaningful story that involves all the characters in their own way. i wish there was a season four haha but i know that wont happen because its all over now. it was a beautiful story while it lasted though. Grisaia no Kajitsu, i really found this to be really different from what i am used to simply because its not necessarily a horror or a romance or a psych anime but its an amalgamation of all of the above and it makes for a really interesting story. if you are looking for a change of pace into something more serious than say an anime like black bullet where you have the main character with a past of his own having to be around other people with dark-er pasts. i still enjoyed it through because it really gave a different kind of story through arcs with each girl, the whole arc thing has been done before but the way in which this was presented was brilliant, each girl turning darker and darker as the show goes on until the end has you wondering, whats going to happen now? hopefully there will be a season 2 because ill watch it. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann ... what to say... this show really rendered me speechless at the end. its such a great show from the characters to the setting to the ideas and plot, really well rounded. from the first few episodes it feels totally ridiculous and like theres no way it could get deep, but low and behold the plot becomes such a startling change that you wonder if you re actually watching the same series. the characters are the kind that throw you around for sure, and they really make the show what it is. from the beginning you cant really predict whats going to happen next and even if youre a psychic its really hard even at the ending. that unpredictability kept the show interesting and involving. though it becomes somewhat bittersweet as a show after some things happen that taste doesnt taste bad. after finishing it i felt a bit empty because there were a lot of things that i wanted to happen and i want more but the ending was really satisfying in itself. i feel its really important to mention the music, the music is great and accompanies it so well that the show wouldnt be the same without it. the ending on the second part of the series is amazing its a great song and i would watch every episode to the end just to hear it. link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIRNKUfCTg4#t=59) as much as i loved this anime i also didnt really like it at the same time because of that not so perfect side of the story with the parts that didnt go the way i want; however it was but an unpolished side on the diamond that is tenga toppa gurren lagann. it was definitely memorable and a fun ride that stands out from the rest in a huge way. id say this belongs on the list of animes youd have to watch on your bucket list, or your anime list either or. in one word, unpredictable. in a fantastic and wonderfully surprising way. Barakamon, this was a really surprising anime for me, i went into it with not very high expectations since i saw it off of amagi brilliant park recommendations, and i was amazed how good it was. first off, this anime is really funny in a cute clean way that makes you really appreciate the little things of day to day life. the characters really make this show tick. the mc, a wimpy guy whom everyone calls sensei, is a calligraphy artist exiled to an island after he did something impulsive that he shouldnt have done. his impulsive nature often leads to problems throughout the show, but his flaws are what really shine because they demonstrate that its what makes us who we are. the mc really goes to the island to find himself, and we get to watch the transition. now there isnt really an overall plot, or a real storyline other than finding himself, but this show does so well even so. as ive mentioned the comedy is fantastic i laughed every episode, and the characters that surround mc bring out the best in the show. the whole idea of the show is so honest and realistic that you can just feel the emotions better. the little girls that always annoy him are adorable, and hilarious in their own ways. this show not only is realistic, but really touching as well because it has mostly lighthearted moments but you can tell that everyone is having a great time, and you cant help but have one yourself. i loved this show a ton i didnt lose interest once, which happens only with a few animes. also the way all the country people talked made the show a lot funnier, not many other shows use that type of dialect so often. but that made the show what it is, and it was a great part of the story. if the title or even the idea of this show piqued your interest i say go for it. Golden Boy, honestly this anime was so good i wish there was a lot more of it because i really need more of it in my life. i never really thought of starting it seriously until a couple of days ago, and i regret not seeing it sooner. not only was each episode a complete story that left me feeling satisfied, each episode also showed how much he grew as a person who studied and learned in each environment he was in. the character cast was fantastic, there were nearly no stereotypes, i think this is mainly because of the animation date being before the 2000's and the days of stereotypical anime becoming actual stereotypes. in all aspects the animation was great too for a 1990's anime, surprisingly enough it is just as good as some anime out today. however i seem to enjoy the old anime styles just as much as the new ones, and golden boy seems to have had a lot of work put into it to make it such a fine show. another aspect i loved about this show is just how much of a boss kintarou was. he literally outsmarted everyone and blew their minds, and the only time when everyone realized how far ahead of them he was was after he left for the next destination. the variety in this show made it really shine, variety meaning the jobs, the people, the places, the approach he took to solving every problem presented to him. by all means this had quite a bit of ecchi and that may make it a deal breaker for some, but in my opinion that only enhanced the story because such things may be pretty realistic for a 25 year old guy, it captured an honest side of him, and that honest side of him made him stick up and stand out (multiple times in different ways lol) not only in the show overall but for me as a viewer all i could help to think was wow i want to be like this guy. however i realize that trying to be like such an awesome person is a failed attempt at becoming someone else, because i dont think i could ever survive the stuff he did nor be so amazing in everything. im sure perfect people exist, and id also say this is a perfect example of an anime cut short. its not necessarily short its just that i want more than what they gave me because of how entertaining every episode was. i could watch this show and have the time fly by, i had to move my mouse only to sadly discover that half of the show had already gone. it sure went by quick, but man it was really enjoyable. the humor was really good too i failed to mention it before, but i had quite a few moments where i was just straight up laughing, both at the humor and at how amazing this guy was. it may seem like all im doing is glorifying this, but in actuality i saw no wrongs with it. if, and only if i were to say what flaw this had, it would go back to my complaint earlier of there not being enough. if you ever dont know what to watch and you dont feel like starting a mushy romance or a bloody action this is a great standalone or breather show, both because of its shortness(sadly enough) and its unique plotline and characters. i know i loved everyone just as much as he did. Nodame Cantabile, when i read the name of this anime i think of like a noodle dish. however this proved to be far more than a noodle dish in terms of story, plot, execution, characters, and level of interest throughout. this was the first music oriented anime i have watched so i wasnt really into the whole classical music scene, but after watching this i have a heightened understanding of what its like to really love and play classical music. really when it come down to it the storyline was unlike anything i had experienced before, but really there isnt a overlying plot, more like an along the journey of graduating kinda thing from the start. however whats really surprising is how much every character is accentuated on and really given light. there really are no minor characters in this, and everyone who appears more than once has a place in the show, and not only are they more than just a backstory and a current version but they are a constantly evolving idea that just gets better and better. all the aspects of the show are good from the romance to the comedy. the romance has a really rocky start, but it turns out to be really good and i have zero qualms about the way it ended. the characters were all wacky, and nodame has to be one of the weirdest but not bad weird anime girls out there. not only did she make me laugh nearly every episode, but she really stood out with her piano abilities i suppose, but i remember her more for the comedy and the love she shows for chiaki. shoot this show even had a few side romances which really came into play with the story. the comedy was good too in a slapstick sorta way. it might have been a little crude at times but it really lifted the mood when it needed it. for the music, just in one word: amazing. i never thought that classical music could be so complex or have feelings and stuff behind it because its only instrumentals right? well i was proved wrong many times over throughout the course of the show, and not once did i mind being wrong. the pieces they chose were all beautiful in their own way, and every one was different than the last, for every episode there was new music all the time, but being a music show that was understandable. When chiaki plays the violin, i randomly felt the need to go out and buy a violin just to try and play like he did. by the end of the show i was getting shivers from listening to some to the songs that they were playing simply because of all the emotion they put into making the characters seem so real and how much it was worth to play that music because it represented them. another thing i liked about this anime is that i never became disinterested except for the start, but that was months before i gave it a serious try, and after episode 2 i was hooked, and proceeded to watch it to completion over the next three days. if i could have watched this in one sitting, i probably wouldnt have, because this is one you need to enjoy over time. its a lot to take in surprisingly enough, but being 23 episodes thats understandable. overall i really enjoyed it and am going to watch the sequel, but i dont think that i will enjoy it as much as the first season simply due to the fact that the first season had a lot more time to develop everything into a masterpiece. its a lot different than anything i ever watched so i didnt have a clue what i was getting into, but im glad i did. GTO Absolutely loved it. every single moment was amazing the whole way through. after finishing 43 episodes of this all i can think of is that i feel empty knowing there isnt any more of this amazing show. starting off this show may not seem to be as amazing as it truly is, however i was hooked from the start. when i say i loved all of this show, i mean everything, from the characters to the music to the plot. for characters there was so much development with onizuka and the class as a whole, there was like an episode for everyone. onizuka turned out to be one of the most complex characters i think ive ever seen. throughout the show its like he changes to be a better teacher but he doesnt change at the same time. his unique method of dealing with problems just makes you want to say "thats how a man does it!" one minute hes crazy and the next hes outwitting everyone and blowing minds. every character arc in this show is executed perfectly. everyone who hated onizuka initially were just left in his wake as he paved his way through. essentially he is a mr fix it for everyone's problems, but hes also so much more. i could go on some more about how much i loved the way onizuka was, but i will leave it at watch it to truly experience the amazingness. now for the music. the music was so fantastic that i actually saved a couple of songs. the first intro is really good, i really loved it. the rest of the intros i guess i could do without but the first one stood out as better. now the music that played throughout the series was so amazing it made the moments stand out really well. the action music that plays when something is about to go down is unreal good. they get some brass and tubas or something playing and you feel empowered listening to it. i know i got hyped when i heard the action music come on. then during like the serious moments where it wasnt actiony the music was also fantastic. now plotwise it is super unpredictable. i absolutely love that when i cant tell whats happening next but i know its going to be good. the somewhat romances werent the kind that were the ones you really rooted for and were let down either. i thought that was really good how i had no regrets when it ended. though i feel empty its over, im also kinda glad because i really didnt want to finish it cus i burned through thirty episodes so fast i was completely addicted and didnt want to run out. i remember seeing this on my plan to watch for a while and i never really gave it a try but i am so glad i watched it because i really learned a lot from this, main thing being that sometimes to solve a problem you have to do the thing farthest from what sounds like a good idea to conquer it when you have nowhere else to turn. simply because most of the time people give up on trying to find a different solution to their problem and then give up. not onizuka. onizuka turned any trap on him into a spotlight and a pedestal that only lifted him higher. really he was the great teacher onizuka. Beelzebub, this one had a lot in store throughout the 60 episodes. in all aspects this was a pretty unique anime and all the characters were developed well and there were so many amazing plotlines but the way it ended wasnt exciting. i enjoyed the ending but it didnt pack a punch like the rest of the show. that being said, i loved the whole series quite a bit. Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren, this show was decent id say in the plot and development department but i absolutely loved the characters in this, not to mention how amazing the animation and stuff looked. the amount of detail put into the environments is really noticeable and appreciated. Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch I was left torn after watching this. After all that happened, after all the emotion, after all the betrayal in this... it made me feel restless. That isnt something many shows can do, it evoked such emotion out of me i was surprised myself. i wasnt sitting there cheering go go go or weeping in a corner.instead i was held breathless at what happened next. This story is so unpredictable i couldnt tear myself away. it made me feel bad inside and hurt and abandoned but i couldnt resist learning what happens next, is there redemption, is there salvation, is there damnation after all that happened? This had a noticeable element from classic literature, gawain versus lancelot, two friends destined to fight. i couldnt believe how enthralled i was at this, how heartbroken i became. After saying i felt bad and stuff it wouldnt seem i like it, but the more i think about it i can only appreciate how much of a masterpiece this was. Shows like guilty crown or ruroni kenshin affect me too, but guilty crown was terrible in the makes me mad way, kenshin was more of a i dont want it to end this way. Code geass was unexpectedly different. i was torn between being sad and angry, i felt betrayed just as much as the other characters. The show does such a wonderful job of transitioning between episodes that it just draws more and more attention. It makes you want to know more, to learn what happens next. i havent seen one that makes me want to watch it so compulsively in a long time, mostly because shows like this are so rare. For there to be something on this scale and full of such a complicated plotline it has to be something worth praising. I admit it may use themes from older pieces of literature, and it truly is similar to the once and future king, the book from which lancelot and Gawain originate. It had the same heartrending story that was hard to keep going with. However much I hoped for romance, there was nothing but loss. All the romance I had so earnestly hoped for in the beginning, all the optimism, was crushed. It leaves a bad feeling behind when I think about this. This was no walk in the park show, it wasn’t a feel good comedy, it was brutal and unforgiving. Everything that happened, everyone who died, it all made pieces in the puzzle. Maybe I hate it, maybe I liked it, I honestly cant tell. What I do know is that this is a fantastic story. Everything in this was good other than that, the art style was different from what I am used to, but after a while it becomes appealing. The sound was subtle but it made certain moments a lot more powerful. The characters were fantastic. Each one was different, each had their own ideals, and each had a role to play. This made not only the story meld together better but it made everything make a lot more sense, however the character attachment you get from it makes it even worse when they get betrayed; you associate with the characters and like them so much, you start to feel what they feel. The emotion left after finishing this is heavy. The plot twists really made this stand out. At first it all seemed like a game, but then after things got serious everything else did too. It was a subtle transition from dipping the feet in to just immersing completely. But really fighting an empire isn’t something that can be done lightly, and the transition from him being less and less with the things he cares about, and the reason he fights, when all of it comes into full swing, its magnificent to behold. Samurai Champloo- This was definitely a ride, from action and unassuming to some real deep stuff. This took me forever to finish, mostly because I stopped during some parts after a particular arc ended, but each arc being finished felt like a good ending. I think me just wanting to finish this and get it off my list is what pushed me to the conclusion. Im glad I did. This show was so much more than just an action samurai show. It doesn’t try to have ideals like Naruto where someone is trying to impose their way on the world and Naruto has to stop them; this is different. Everything about this show revolves around the characters, and man do they shine. Mugen is rash, violent, and unpredictable. Jin is cool and collected, and fights only if he must. Both are fire and ice if you will, and even have the colors to match. Fuu is the girl in the middle. As much as I liked fuu, I think I liked jin and mugen the most, the way the story unraveled and went through their backstories was sublime. The deeper i saw into each character, the more I realized they knew nothing of each other. I cant fully explain why I loved this so much, but I suspect it had a lot to do with the music. Every episode the music just made each scene bloom with depth and feeling. Im a big fan of nujabes, and having him on the soundtrack made me enjoy this quite a bit. When It came to the ending of the show, and I felt sad and happy because it was over and yet I wanted more, the music just suited it so well, like perfect harmony. Now normally I don’t even notice the soundtrack, but here I just have to dote on it. I wish they had a sequel to this, but at the same time I don’t because I am happy with the way it ended. Now that being said I only had a few problems with this, and it was mostly with the way fuu was, she just bothered me as tsunderes normally do though. As for the art, it really suited it. It wasn’t the prettiest, or the most fluid, but it matched the show really well. Everything about this show was blended into an emotional, involving story. It was tragic and sad, but it was also really happy and enjoyable at the same time. I think over the time I started this and the time I finished this I changed as a person, and because of that I started to see it differently. After I saw it in a different light I started understanding it a lot better, and I can honestly say I enjoyed it a lot more after that. I think I will re watch this in the future, because no matter how dated it looks, the sound and the characters will always make this show shine, and that’s what a masterpiece is all about. Pictures! awesome background from Chuunibyou 2 BRUTAL who cares about boob physics, jigglier the better-er we've all been there idk what happened to the art here in nhk but i still found it funny cus the guy without a hat looks high as a kite i feel you man Look at the detail on that railing!! the scale has a good pokerface just when seikwon no qwaser couldnt get any more ridiculous... this was the best face she made by far one of my fav faces ever you can see where the other guy has his eyes at lol gettin real tired of your shit junpei pretty trippy |

the anime is mostly slice of life, comedy but it also revolved
around there music club/band and there is "many" music clips
on the anime especially on the ending and opening songs.
for example "No Thank You"(ED2 song) -
Mio Akiyama from K-on! :)

Yeah, I won't stop, I love leaving comments in the tags of my list. I can see why you would like the Macross one, since most people always worry about what girl the main character will end up with in a series with romance.
And I love that picture that you have in your about me section XD
As for Kotonoha no Niwa I haven't seen that one! I've had it on my PTW for a while, but I've never got the chance to watch it. Is it really good? I'll definitely check it out some time soon, if the art is as good as you say.
I go outside a lot during the day yeah. The weather doesn't really have that big of an impact on whether or not I go out, really. But lately it's been pretty chilly. Hbu?
Aw damn, that sucks. For me, school starts in like two weeks so I've still got time. Good luck man! It definitely sucks tho that when school comes around, there's not gonna be a whole lot of time to watch anime. Definitely gonna miss binge-watching!
You definitely should start kimi no uso soon! I absolutely loved that anime! Definitely give it a shot when you get the chance. If you don't mind classical music on the piano/violin then you should be fine!

Not quite sure how to explain how the soundtrack sounds old! It's just not very modern, like the soundtrack is not something that you'd typically hear in the animes that have been coming out recently. The soundtrack is definitely something that you'd hear from animes that have been established from the same era/release dates. Not sure how to explain it! It's like an instinct that just lets me know that it's too old for me :$
As for Toradora, I didn't mind the art at all! The first few episodes, I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit iffy about the character designs and how old they were, but I easily got over that and actually really liked and enjoyed the anime! It was really good, but at the same time, a bit predictable. Call me weird or crazy, but I really preferred that the MC ended up with Ami, instead of Taiga. I felt like Taiga and Ryuji had more of a Father/Daughter relationship. I might be alone on this but yeah that's just how I felt so I was a bit disappointed in the course it took, but overall it was really good!
As for why I say soft rock (or whatever the band Daughtry would be classified) is mostly because I tried to get into hard rock but its type of music doesn't fully appeal to me.
