I've been watching anime ever since I was 9 years old, when my brother first showed Pokemon to me. Then like most American fans my age, I saw most of the shows on Toonami, and Adult Swim.
Then I had access to a few shows on The Anime Network and Anime Selects On Demand.
After that, I've seen my fair share of shows online. I try to only watch on legal streaming sites, unless it's not offered anywhere else. I don't download. And I'm looking to expand my DVD collection when I have the money.
I like Action-Adventure, Comedy, and a little Romance but not ones with couples that NEVER get together for about 11 years. 26 Episodes is about the perfect length of a series for me. And I'm so tired of Dragonball Z rip-offs, please no more... T_T ( okay except Toriko )
I don't hate manga, I guess I'm just the type that needs the music and animation to "feel" the whole experience. i recently picked up the Toriko manga and actually prefer that much more to the anime.
Oh yeah, I'm a Digital Design major in college . And I like to write and draw myself, don't worry I'm not a terrible self-insert Mary-sue writer. xD
feel free to check out my Tumblrl. And Fanfiction on HETALIA! =D

=====
I've been watching anime less and less as years have gone by. Adult life took over. I miss anime a lot, and the days where I would sit aside and watch a line-up of all of the new episodes for the week. These days I'm very behind on new shows, and I catch whatever was popular years ago SOMETIMES. Twelve episodes is what I barely have time for, but I still prefer twenty-six.
