Hey mate, it's been a while since we last traded posts – how in tarnations have you been? What have you been up to and how have you been? As for me, I've been well, can't complain much, lessons are going well and are quite bearable, the weather is a tad cold and wet signifying that autumn has arrived and I'm anticipating this upcoming season of anime – there is a cornucopia of anime that I want to watch. In short, I'm just having a grand old time with life! =D
To answer you question, my display picture is from Hikaru no Go. His name is Atsushi Kurata and he's one of the better go players of the series. Hikaru Shindo, the main protagonist, has often been compared to him and his meteoric rise in the go world. He appears rather late in the anime series and have only have a handful of appearances in both the anime and manga. So, why use him as my profile picture if he's such a minor character? Well, it's his turn! There is a pattern on the profile pictures I use, but to understand it, you probably have to know all of my previous profile pictures. Speaking of turns, I switch my profile picture every fortnight, meaning that I'm changing my profile picture tomorrow – it's going to be Seiji Ogata, also from the same series.
I apologise for responding to your post so tardy – I'm usually more prompt when answering my post. It was my birthday on Friday and my girlfriend in tandem with her sorority and my fraternity threw a "surprise" birthday bash, which lasted into the wee hours of the morning. Since it was my birthday, I partied harder than usual and am still feeling the after affects of the party. XD
In any case, I hope that you have a wonderful day and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =D
Ah, well university/college isn't for everyone, although quite frankly the working market considers having a university/college diploma a must in their hiring practices, which is a shame really, because people without a higher education diploma are just a smart and capable as those that has an extra piece of paper on their wall at home or a couple of letters before or after their names.
In any case, I hope that you are having a wonderful day, that you have an awesome weekend and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)
Well, I think different people feel differently towards school no matter what level of schooling. There are some that loves elementary school, while others consider high school the optimally of life, while others like me really like campus life. Still others hate school life altogether! XD
As for me, the thing I like about campus life is the apparent independency – stressing on the word apparent. It is the first time (at least for me) that I'm living on my own, making my own rules, taking care of my own education and welfare. Rules that my parents made are now moot and instead are replaced by my own rules. I like the atmosphere of campus life – it's like a miniaturisation of the real world, but not having the hassle of the real world.
In my life, I don't worry about money to pay my boarding or tuition or things like bills. I can concentrate on what I like to, whether it's school work or partying. I can also have deep academical/philosophical/political/religious discussion with anyone which usually flies over the heads of people I hang around with in high school or we can party like no other! I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy university life, but I hope that the life you have now is where you are happy.
In any case, I hope that you are having a wonderful day and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)
LOL! I'm not a school lover per say, but I do love learning. Having said that, I do love university/campus life, because there's this freedom and independence that I totally love – high school on the other hand were small moments of Hell sporadically interrupting the boredom and tedium. I'm actually rather scared of graduating from university – I'm actually afraid of the real world. If I can, I would love to live on campus forever.
I understand. Some times a change is scenery nice. I wish you all the luck in British Columbia, part of me wish that I am in B.C. with you – I miss the ocean and mountains. In any case, I hope that you are having a wonderful day and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)
LOL! Yeah, I'm still alive! I'm enjoying what's left of my summer before school starts in the autumn. I'm actually looking forward to back-to-school shopping later on this month. As for school itself, I'm excited and saddened to start my junior year at university. I'm saddened, because half of my university career has already been over and I love this campus life too much to leave it behind so soon.
So, you moved back to British Columbia? I'm envious! As a west coast boy at heart, I long for the sounds of the Pacific Ocean. By the way, what prompted this move back to British Columbia? It sounded rather sudden to me, but then again, these things could happen rather impromptu.
In any case, I hope that you had a wonderful day and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)
Oh, I'm sorry that you didn't do as well as you had hoped in your essay, perhaps next time you'll do better. It seems that you're easily distracted, although who can blame you – it's anime! XD
Is it so out of the ordinary to name an inanimate object? If it is abnormal, what's wrong with that? What is normal anyways? Is normal always the right thing? Who wants to be normal anyways? Besides, whoever said and whatever gave you the indication that I was normal to begin with? XD Although, I think personifying an inanimate object isn't that out of the ordinary, it is maritime tradition to name boats, usually by female names and NASA names all their rockets and satellite that they send into outer space. I do have name for each of my motorcycles and my computer, but that's about it – coincidentally, all of them are female. =)
As for my job, I still have it. If I gave you any indications hat I was thinking of quitting than I apologise. Quitting my job is the last thing I want to do! I love my job, I love the people I work with and the people that I help – although some of them could be... troublesome sometimes, but that is always the case when you have a job that deals with people in general. It will be sad that I might have to leave my job when school starts in the autumn, but hopefully I could balance both school and work – after all, a lot of students seem to handle it just fine.
It's very rare that I would lose track of an anime, but it is not in the realm of impossibility. If that was the case, I would re-watch the series or if it's a larger series, the season or arc. I do that often when an OVA or film comes out after a series that I haven't seen for quite a while – I would re-watch the series so I would be familiarise with it before I start the OVA.
To answer your question about my martial status, no I am not married, but I do have a girlfriend. She's awesome, a real firecracker and free spirit, she's two years my senior and about to start her Masters and a redhead to boot! I'm always partial to redheads! How about you, do you have any significant others?
In any case, I hope that you have a wonderful day and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)
Aw, it sucks that you have to go to summer school! What course are you taking? Hopefully, you can upgrade your mark sufficient enough to your standards.
Thanks for your congratulations on my new job and computer! I love my new job, it's such a joy to go to work and because I'm a gym rat it gives me an excuse to be in the campus Athletics' Centre just to work out! The people that I work with are great and I have a fun time working/hanging out with them.
I also love my new computer, I named her Vox. She's so much faster than my previous computer, which was slightly two decades in age and so much more space to fill out – guess what I'm filling the space with? XD Speaking of which, I am currently downloading Yu Yu Hakusho, which is about 25 gigs, which on my old computer would take up all the extra memory and take forever and a day, while on my new computer it barely scratched the surface on space and is downloading faster than I ever imagined!
In any case, I hope that you are having a wonderful day and that this post finds you well. Take care, study hard, relax some, and I hope to hear from you soon. =)
