I'm glad you made the review less vague and listened to a bit of my criticism. I still disagree with it (Obviously, since I really like the show) but it looks a lot more like a review now that you're not extremely vague the entire time. Originally it felt like I was reading some drawn-out post on /m/ back when the show was like three episodes in. Cheers.
I usually don't do this, but your Gundam AGE review really, really, confuses me.
It's like you haven't watched more than four or five episodes despite claiming to have watched all of them so far.
Then you bring up ratings, DVD sales and gunpla sales as if those are actually relevant or have any place in a review of something. By bringing that stuff up it looks like you're just trying to justify your opinion by arguing that other people think like you do. The gunpla selling poorly is bullshit, anyway. Bandai's hobby division was at a three-year high in 2011 due to Gundam AGE and they wouldn't be constantly releasing new MGs if it wasn't doing well. Genoace kits going on sale and photoshopped images of kits going for 50 yen doesn't equate to low sales, my friend.
Oh yeah, the AGE builder, I forgot about your point of contention with that. A deus ex machina, really? It's been used a very low number of times and it's not really any different that protagonists in other Gundam shows getting mid-season upgrades. I could understand if it was pumping out some ridiculous new upgrade every episode but it doesn't do that, at all.
I really don't want to sound too vitriolic, and yeah, I am loving the show so far. Gen 1 wasn't amazing but it got great towards the end and gen 2's been a really fun ride, especially lately with Asem's inferiority complex and developments like Grodek getting killed. But it just really bugs me when people review something and spend half the review saying the show is doing poorly and that's why you shouldn't like it and then bring in a couple really flimsy arguments to try and give the review some actual merit.
