Welcome to my profile!
“The unicorn lived in a lilac wood, and she lived all alone. She was very old, though she did not know it, and she was no longer the careless color of sea foam but rather the color of snow falling on a moonlit night. But her eyes were still clear and unwearied, and she still moved like a shadow on the sea.”
― Peter S. Beagle, The Last Unicorn

“What is the matter with your eyes? They are full of green leaves, crowded with trees and streams and small animals. Where am I? Why can I not see myself in your eyes?”
― Peter S. Beagle, The Last Unicorn
How I rate:
✴ I rate by enjoyment, 10-8 are the ones which I would definitely recommend to someone.
✴ In the tags you will see two numbers (except for watching). The first one is also a rating, but for this I used the "story, art, characters, enjoyment" method. The number next to it is the year I watched the anime in.
✴ I take points when the anime is problematic ― sexualizing women and girls, pedophilia, incest etc....or I just simply drop them.
✴ The most important things for me are: great characters (no "-dere" archetypes, interesting backgrounds, character development, and amazing designs), wonderful artstyle, and the message of the story or of its individual episodes.

“Great heroes need great sorrows and burdens, or half their greatness goes unnoticed. It is all part of the fairy tale.”
― Peter S. Beagle, The Last Unicorn
About the past:
✴ It was early summer of 2020 when I got my new and first-ever laptop, and I was ready to open a new chapter of my life. I liked the idea of staying in bed, and watching some good series or movies, so I made a list. One of the names on my plan to watch list was no other than Boku no Pico (keep in mind, I had no idea what it was about), which I had found as a recommendation for people who want to start watching anime. Fortunately, I showed the list to my cousin, who at that time was already watching anime, he laughed and told me :"You may wanna try Boku no Hero Academia instead, Boku no Pico is hentai." I am thankful for him to this day.
Thanks to him, my first ever anime was Boku no Hero Academia, which I fell in love with, and because of which I watch anime even now:)
“I have been mortal, and some part of me is mortal yet. I am full of tears and hunger and the fear of death, although I cannot weep, and I want nothing, and I cannot die. I am not like the others now, for no unicorn was ever born who could regret, but I do. I regret.”
― Peter S. Beagle, The Last Unicorn
Why The Last Unicorn?
✴ My favorite since I was 4 years old. I did not understand the story that much, I was still a kid after all, but I was amazed by the visuals and the abstract dialogues. Lady Amalthea (as well as Rapunzel) became my idol. I longed to have long white hair and to be dressed in nothing but a purple dress. The story is still a mystery to me. I have not yet figured out all the messages the movie wanted to tell me. Even by doing this - customizing my profile - I am still lost in the story, in the fairy tale.
