Hey Everybody, very serious message from le Creator of RACE
Please read carefully

As I'm sure some of you have noticed, RACE hasn't been very active lately
Part of that is my fault, I haven't been able to give it my full attention while being busy with moving and work in real life
However I think a big part of it is the fact that so few members visit the club
I mean we have nearly 2000 members.... maybe 20 active? total?
For a long time i was thinking about shutting down race and starting a new club with some new ideas I have
taking all the things i learned from RACE and moving on
MAL has changed since I first joined, most of my original friends are super busy and rarely around
But RACE and mal are still important to me so I have a different plan
A few people helped me come up with the idea so this is what's going to happen.
We're purging RACE.
You won't be able to access it. We're going to close it for a few days
Everyone in the members list will be removed
All the threads deleted (almost)
Everything will be started over. We will start over with a smaller club and staff
I have a lot of cool ideas for what is going to happen.
For those of you that are wondering about the sports festival
It wasn't as active as we'd hoped so we closed it.
The sports fest was my way of seeing if race can still be active and it failed
So now we're purging.
When we open back up there will be a new and improved Sports Festival!
It will be the Grand Re-Opening of RACE
please come back if you still love race like i do and want to be active
This isnt meant to punish the people that are around, or even the ones that arent
This is my decision
I need a reason to get excited and motivated again and I think this is the best thing for RACE
We will be Re-Opening on August 1st

I'm really sorry to not be sending out individual messages to you all, but unfortunately I don't know all of you ... and im lazy x'D
BUT i made this Valentines Day Event in order to get the chance to tell people how much they mean to me :)
Every single person in RACE means so much to me, I'm so happy you joined the club even if you aren't active (though you should be :P)
It means so much that you've stuck with me even when the club died for a bit.
I never imagined that my club would get so big. When i first started it I was hoping to even get 10 people. 20 was beyond my wildest dreams xD Now I'm above 1600!! I opened it just because i had joined mal and seen cards and wanted to try.
I probably shouldn't have made the club as early as i did .... but now I am so glad that I did C: Thank you to everyone that has joined the club, it's been such a pleasure to me watching the club grow and seeing the new people join.
Especially thank you to the people that joined at the very beginning. I'm not giving you a special message because i dont have time but I know who you are and you mean the world to me (heart)

Yes I mean everyone! This is a special delivery being sent out to everyone in the club! Whether you signed up for the newsletter or not :P (You should do that btw, if you haven't)
I'm the creator of Random Anime Cards Emporium, Miyuki (formerly Rozzimandias11), if you didn't know....
Special thanks to all my staff that helped with this delivery, it means a lot!
Now for the news

RACE's Second Anniversary is coming up on June 16th!
To celebrate we're doing two things C:

+ Firstly, we're having a drawing event!
-- We want as many people to participate as possible!
-- The Event will be open from June 16th - June 23rd
-- For more information check Here
-- On the 16th you will be able to sign up by entering your drawing :)
-- The Drawings will be posted in a gallery in the club as a special Happy Birthday for RACE
-- The picture can be anything you want as long as it has some Happy Birthday/Anniversary message to RACE
-- Just for participating you will get a participation badge, and can request a forum set or DP

+ Second, we're getting the word out that RACE is active and alive :D
Things you should do!

-- Keep an eye on the club for upcoming editions! We have editions on Wednesdays and Sundays
We also have random editions opened occasionally by the card makers
-- Request claims from any of our open claim threads, we have new claims every month
-- Play games! We have sooo many of them! As well as special games brought to you by our snazzy game master

Upcoming things to look forward to?

+ Sports Festival
-- Lots of you were around for the last one so you know how much fun it was!
-- We will have a variety of competitive games and lots of prizes!
-- It's a great way to be active and make friends if you can't find anything fun on MAL at the moment! XP

+ Assassins Teams
-- Just like assassins where you get assigned a target and have to kill them without them noticing, but this time with teams!
-- Coming soon!

+ 30 Days of Anime!
-- Each day there will be an anime question for you to answer! Something like Favorite Male character, saddest anime, or favorite OP
-- Every day that you participate you will get some badge or card of the day
-- At the end of the 30 days, those people who participated every day will get a special prize!

Help RACE get Active again!
We've gathered a really great and talented staff that are fun to talk to and who are amazing at keeping the club active!
Come hang around, stop by the Chatroom and talk to people, chat in the club comments, play the games, request cards, have a blast!

I'm really sorry that RACE went inactive for so long, it was due to many of my staff going on hiatus and my own health and school problems causing me to have to be innactive as well. But we're back with an active staff and lots of fun ideas for the future! It would mean so much to me to have the club active again ^^ When I go through past threads and the member lists I see so many names that I used to see around and dont anymore. I miss you guys! And I want to get to know all the new people ^^ RACE is my family and I want it to be a family for all of you as well C: So please help me make RACE's birthday an awesome one by joining the drawing event and helping the club get more active than it ever has before!

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS BEING SENT TO ALL BLUE BUTTERFLIES SQUAD MEMBERS.

If you haven't visited the Club lately, the good news is that we, the Blue Butterflies, have won first place for the month of February once more with an overwhelming lead of 1090 points! However, WE HAVE A SITUATION. The Red Butterflies have gathered their army and taken the lead from us this month. They currently have a 475 point lead over us and are rapidly gaining points as we speak! This is why we need everyone's support! ヽ(＾▽＾)人(＾▽＾)人(＾▽＾)ﾉ

But what can we do, you may ask? The key word is to PARTICIPATE!!! Come to Cho Cho Empire and explore the new games and contests involved! Perhaps you are interested in long lasting games, such as the Acronym Game, Answer Question with Question, or the Cho Cho Prediction Game! These games won't earn you squad points, but instead will give you a chance to create new friends and learn more about your other fellow club members! HOWEVER, if you want to be in front of the battlefield where all the action is at, check out these games and contests:

• St. Patrick's Scramble for Gold: This isn't your typical word scramble game. A secret word is hidden in the scrambles! Are your eyes keen enough to spot it? Come check it out! Who knows? You might even win a BONUS Prize!
  
• 100 Steps: It's like a board game with a little bit of Truth or Dare! Do you have what it takes to reach 100 steps? Check out this game that many have said is loads of fun! You just have to be in the TOP TEN to win prizes and squad points!
  
• Clue: How well do you know your animes? Check out these clues and see if you can be the anime champion!

You can also earn points in other ways! Have a fondness for AMVs? Come to the club and see the AMV of the month! Then, put your own suggestions for the AMV of the month in the AMV of the Month Suggestion thread. If your AMV gets chosen, our squad earns 50 points! Maybe you like collecting cards! The new Clover SE is out for a limited time so hurry and request those cards! We earn 5 points for every member that requests a card! (^_^)

For every game or contest you win, along with your prizes, the squad earns points and at the end of every month, all these points are tallied and the squad with the most points wins!

What do we get if we win the first place? Bragging rights, of course. Aside from having our rightful place in the club's layout, we are awarded a special trophy, plus the person who has earned the most points in each squad will be awarded a special mystery prize for being such a huge part of the team. That is why, visit the club now and join in the fun! (◎｀・ω・´)人(´・ω・｀*)

To all my fellow Blue Butterflies:

＼(￣O￣) Comrade Tiffany-chan and I were thinking about establishing an alliance with two other squads. In other words, we are proposing a strategic alliance, or an agreement between the squads to pursue a set of agreed upon objectives needed while remaining independent. These squads, as of now, are the Yellow and Green Squads. However, we know that it would be selfish of us to decide on the matter ourselves so we are inviting everyone to give their suggestions and opinions. If someone has a squad he/she wishes to ally with, we are perfectly willing to place it on the table for further discussion.

What is this alliance all about, you may ask? Well, despite our previous victory for the month of January, our rivals(or namely, our great rival, the Red Butterflies) are getting stronger and it is a good strategy to form strong bonds with the other butterflies to keep them from snatching the throne away from us. But then, you may also ask, the other squads are also potential rivals so why are we uniting with them? My dear comrades-in-arms, it may be greatly selfish for me to say this but I would rather give away the trophy to another squad rather than see it in the hands of the Red Butterflies. Such is the hostility between the two squads, unfortunately. However, I am also aware that some, or okay, most, of the Red Butterfly folks are pleasant and not at all that bad. But as they had oh-so-indirectly proclaimed, this is war. Yes, they dared declare war against us, the Blue Butterflies. (　ﾟДﾟ)＜!!

Will we sit back and let them trample on our pride? No. We must fight back with all our might. ヽ(●-`Д´-)ノ

Now, we were thinking of waiting until a suitable amount of other opinions were given, but alas, an emergency has appeared---that of the form of a sole Red Butterfly making rounds throughout the club and tarnishing our image by accusing our goodwill and plans for an alliance as 'false' and 'lies'. That is why we must move quickly, and form a conclusion soon. This might be too sudden, but we plan on sending out the announcements/proclamations of alliance to the other squads as quickly as possible. Please check out the club's thread and give us your opinion on the matter. :)
