I'm a professional anime and manga connoisseur who's added more content to his list than he'll ever watch by the end of his life.
On the off chance you have any interest in my opinions, know I rate things based on a few principles..
#1: Did it achieve what it was aiming for?
I judge based on what I think the author's intentions are. I believe that simply appreciating and going along with the direction a series is headed is an excellent way of enjoying it, even if it can be fairly silly. However, this means that if a series nonsensically misses it's target, changes its target, or just plainly feels aimless, it will be scored harshly.
#2: Was what it was trying to achieve clever/consistent/fun/polished?
You can have the best idea, flawlessly put it on paper, and it can still suck because of poor execution. You can have a series be very consistent, but if it's not clever or interesting then why not just roll dice? You can have a series be very clever, but if it's not fun then what's the point? You can have a series be fun (silly, humorous, w/e), but if it's not consistent then why should anyone care?
There's always a constant stream of minor details that have the capability to take away from the experience.
#3: Did I enjoy it?
I consider this the least important because I'm not the kind of guy who watches something he clearly has no taste for, only to then give it a low score. You could not catch me dead watching some shoujo ai yuri romance trash
