Fruits Basket is, again, another show I'm interested in watching some day. Also, now that you mention it, there really are stories you're able to experience better as you age... Even works that seem "childish" on the surface can be appreciated much differently.

I intended messaging you after having watched at least one of Satoshi Kon's works. So, here I am, completely blown away by Perfect Blue.
The amount of times I tried transcribing my experience with this movie into words can't be counted... Maybe I need some time to thoroughly process it.
Talk about leaving a good impression.

To be honest, my very first contact with his works was actually Ani*Kuri15, which is a compilation of "15 one-minute shorts created by various people from Japan's animation industry". This was in my Plan To - hopefully - Watch list for a long time (all due to Makoto Shinkai's participation)... So ,yesterday, I decided to take a look into it.
Some of those shorts were quite good, but there was one that really stood out - Ohayō. I can safely say it was the best 60 seconds content I've ever seen. As you can imagine, it was made by the man himself - Satoshi Kon.
