Recently became re-addicted to anime after being Gintama-only for years. I generally like comedy/slice of life and shonen/sports anime.
My favourite animes:
1.Kuroko no Basket
2.Steins;Gate
3.Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou
4.Gin no Saji
5.Aria
6.Hajime no Ippo
7.Hunter x Hunter (2011)
8.Gintama
9.Cowboy Bebop
10.K-On
Thanks for saying so! :)
I think multitasking at first would be fine. It really depends on whether you want to find out everything for yourself or not. There are a couple of subtle things at first, but they explain them later on in the show. So, if you miss them at first, its not like you won't know what is going on. You'll just have to wait a couple of episodes for the explanation.
Hmm, I do see what you're saying, somewhat. 90 minutes isn't a lot of time and One Piece can't really do a particularly great story in that period (Since most of the story is told over long arcs) In that case, your point that it's better for them to do something more over the top and actiony, is sensible. Though I guess I still feel like Film Z wasn't without flaws. If not for the story, then for the reasons you mentioned about Strong World. They tried to do something serious with Z's backstory to add some drama, but I think they missed their mark on that.
Well, that is that and this is this, as they say. I don't dislike over the top anime at all, but Kill la Kill is a different kind of show than One Piece, or rather I enjoy different things from them. I like shounen, but what drew me into One Piece was the rich arcs and characters ( while the over the top action was more of a bonus) Kill la Kill is more about the over the top action (and how hilarious I find Mako)
I don't particularly remember Strong World being that dark. I mean, you had a clown with shoes that made fart noises. How dark could it be? The conflict may have been a bit more serious but no worse than any given arc in One Piece.
Strong World actually gets criticized for being too much like the Arlong park arc. Which was one of my favorite arcs (so I didn't mind as much) I agree that it sucks that Nami has kind of turned into sex symbol more than an actual character(as has Robin to a degree) Though she had enormously stronger presence in Strong World than Film Z. Granted it was being a damsel in distress, she at least tried to do some things. In film Z, she gets turned into a kid and does what?
I felt kind of bad for Zoro. His fight was cool, yes, but his opponent was clearly not even a match for him. His fights are much better when he fights someone that proves to be a new challenge for him to overcome. Kind of akin to Luffy. Except the only really strong antagonist in this movie was Z.
Well, i'm Code Geass fan since i watched it as one of my first anime. Answering to your question:
Most of people that rate CG 10/10 got addicted by its story from the very first episodes - interesting MC, nice soundtrack, nice setting, good battles, bishounens and bishoujos... I've heard more than 5 cases of people that started to watch it on a day and at the end of the same day they were on episode 17+. I'm not surprised at finding people that don't feel the same way, neither blame them or call them "retards by don't understanding the story". It's just different anime taste. There's nothing wrong there.
i think what made it popular is the main charater Lelouch/Zero
hes extremly smart and always thinks 2 steps or more ahead, (like death note) also the fact that he started with nothing and ended as emperor, he was able to get so mutch done and stuff, and in the end he sacrifies himself for the benefit of mankind and while i could tell u another 20 reasons why this anime is great, ATM im busy, however please if u wanne hear them or even slitly care about it just ask me for them, ill happly tell u them
