That's a bit tricky. I don't think an answer they would be unable to accept would necesarily be true. Even if it'd be close enough, there's still more context there that I would have no idea about.

That's a great question. Thing is that I tried and it doesn't work. They always have their guard up. Which is a dilemma. Because while I can't get an answer, there's no alternative solution because if you are to come with your own conclusions, they're not gonna be accurate because you don't have all of the information.

Without asking them directly, all we can do is make assumptions.

It doesn't really get to me, since I understood what you've said for as long as I can remember. However, I do have a genuine curiosity for this type of people. So far I discarded them and never really made an effort to understand them. It would be absolutely fair of me not to make the effort to do so, since that's how they jump in themselves. But I am really curious as what need they are fulfilling through this and how they work, so I choose to do it.

Due to that, I thought it would've been a good opportunity to ask you whether you'd have a negative reaction towards someone's list because I'm trying to understand the impulse that drives those people, which is difficult for me since I never had the impulse to comment on someone's profile based on them rating something differently.

Your answer is helpful, because you seem to put in the effort to understand the other person's perspective and accept that it's their opinion. This made me realize that this is something those people lack. When someone comes at you telling you how wrong you are, it almost always comes with them jumping to one or multiple conclusions and rejecting your evaluation of what your own experience has been.

This might change my approach slightly in the future.
