ahhh, i've heard the dressrosa arc is where the pacing gets really bad, but i've got a while before i get there haha! i've finally hit the 100 episode mark, and i can't get over how fun this show is! i'm definitely more of an anime person than a manga person, so hopefully i'll be able to stick with it!

Yeah the order of it is kinda dumb, but it's well worth getting into imo. Hope you enjoy it whenever you get around to it.

thanks for the one piece advice! hopefully i'll be able to stick with the anime, but i've heard it gets really slow in the later episodes, so we'll see. i watched samurai champloo pretty recently, but it was just such a different vibe from everything else i've watched that it almost immediately made it to the top of my list.

definitely keep me updated on your thoughts! i love hearing what people think about shows, and if they end up being good, i'll have to check them out!

of course and thanks for the message! dororo's been pretty good so far, though i made the poor decision to start one piece before i finished it, so that's been sucking up my time. i ended up watching samurai champloo because i heard the ending song and liked it, and it ended up becoming one of my favorites! mugen is definitely the goat of that show.

i actually had a mal account back in like 2014, and i just never used it and forgot the password. now that i'm actually using it, it's really nice! did you manage to get any good recs from your post?

One episode every other day? Took me six months to watch the third episode though. Because the first two episodes were just terrible. I came to know much later that those were troll episodes and had nothing to do with the original start. But years later, as I fell in love with the anime, I realized those two episodes are like filters to block off those who won't get Gintama. I know many started the anime with detest but then slowly fell in love with it. I have seen same people going from "how can people laugh at poop and d*ck jokes" to "this is the magnum opus of shounen."

I don't even wanna dig up my own comments in MAL (have been in the forums for more than a decade now) but my early impressions of Gintama was so bad that I hope no one ever finds my comments about the anime because I said pretty mean stuff about it back then.

Btw, the Nichijou and K-On! quotes may seem random but those who have seen the exact moments know they were hit with a brick. Extremely powerful.

Anyways, have fun! And if you really like quotes, you should really watch Gintama. The anime has incredible amount of life lessons in it. They hit you right in the feels and you really look at things like you never looked before.

Never having one for himself because he was picked up from war ridden death valleys and brought up in an orphanage. It was all comedy and fun but then it went right through my heart. It was the moment I fell in love with Gintama.
