I read your blog posts whenever possible. Don't know how you juggle writing as many anime posts as you do, and still able have time to watch more anime. Teach me wise one lol.
Away from that blogger stuff, I'm currently attempting to finish writing about certain anime. Attempting since I either hate them a lot like the first season of My Hero Academia to the point it never seems like I'll never finish it, or I'm just entirely stump on how to write about a certain title. Right now, I want to sing my praises for The Night Is Short, Walk On Girl anime movie that came out last year, but I'm clueless how I would do it justice. Sometimes, I just prefer working on my own stories since I find it a lot more fun, but daunting because how much I want to put into them. Thankfully, I'm simply working on one that is just me working stuff up on the spot. It'll likely turn out bad, but it's relieving in a way for me.
Airing anime right now is not much to my interest. I'm currently watching Lostorage Conflated Wixoss which I find okay at the moment. It's biggest turn off is the convoluted writing, and some simplistic characters. I mean, a straight up evil character is fine, but WIXOSS they go out of their to make sure every non-good character is a psycho who just enjoy making people suffer. That kind of lack of variation of characters type eventually make the psycho characters loose their appeal over time. I still enjoy it since some of the characters I like, and develop well. However, it's a J.C. Staff anime so anything will goes in terms of quality.
I also finished Serial Experiment Lain recently myself. I found it to be one of the best anime I've seen. When it's not infodumping, it has some of the best subtle storytelling I've seen in anime. Another positive about it is everything it touched on in terms of the internet, and it effects of people was ahead of it time, and even more relevant nowadays. Can't forget that classic moment when that one reporter simply repeats "Lets all love Lain". Oh, what a classic moment, and the rest of the series is just a mindfuck.
I see you're currently watching Yu Yu Hakusho, Mobile Suit Gundam 1979, and the original Kino's Journey anime. I wasn't a fan of the original Kino's Journey anime. I thought it was average; ideas it presented were interesting, but nothing about it felt significant in the long run because its leading character simply witness the events of these towns. Yu Yu Hakusho I found an enjoyable shounen. I personally prefer the early parts of the series, but I'm in the minority it seems on that viewpoint. Despite it declining in quality the long it went on, I still thought it was a good shounen. The original Gundam animation be rough at times, but it's story, and characters kept me coming back. Some of the episodes were pointless; like the one where the civilians wanted to stop by a location just to feel the earth even though the empire was after them. It might be almost 40 years old, but I've yet to see many modern mechas do its story quite as successfully.
Can't forget most importantly, how's that Serial Experiment Lain post going?
There ain't any sort of English subtitled verision when I first saw it, and not sure if there's any made for it now. I planed on making a subtitled version for it, but ain't happening this month. Work XD. Also, nice to meet you, and thanks for reading.
Any anime you looking forward to next season?
Thanks for accept the request ^^
