I find engaging stories, well-developed characters, good pacing and a great soundtrack to be more important than flashy battle scenes (although those are neat). I enjoy psychological/thriller anime like Death Note, Monster, and Steins;Gate the most, but I'm not usually picky about the genre as long as it meets the criteria that I listed above. For whatever reason, heart-wrenching, emotional anime appeal to me as well, even though I don't feel like I'm that kind of person. I like chatting with people about fiction that we both like, so if you feel like striking up a conversation, I'm all for it!

As for what I thought of S;G, I didn't think the plot was very good, there's only so much you can do with time travel based stories, it's the only downside to S;G in my opinion.
The characters, sound, art, etc however were all ****ing amazing, like what else can I say? XD my favorite scene is Suzuha meeting her father, it was sweet... and a bit awkward.
