SAO is overrated as well. A lot. The reason I gave it a 8/10 was because I still enjoyed in spite of its faults.
Objectively I would have given it a 6 at best, but due to the enjoyment it gave me I rated it an 8 :D So basically I thought it was clearly not great, but still a lot of fun :)
Well I'm not saying it's "bad" either, just that I think it's overrated, and I was disappointed in it. I didn't like it nearly as much as I thought I would :/
About the ending song, that was probably the best thing about the anime. I really liked all 3 seiyuu's work on it. It's a beautiful song :) (And I really liked how it was a remake of a 10 year old song (at that time) as a reference to the 10 years since Menma's death.
On an other note, there was a movie that came out in August (kind of both a sequel and recap from Menma's perspective or whatever), though the DVD/BR isn't out yet.
I might watch it when it comes out, but I'm not sure I want to waste my time with >_>
Yes, that's what I thought as well. The firework scene before that was actually pretty good, but then the ending was just...okay...at best.
And really what bother me so much was how pointless the middle ~7 episodes were. I mean Menma was not a real ghost, she could interact with the world (like when she wrote in her notebook or whatever it was). And we already knew this from one of the early scenes in the first 1-2 episodes. Had she used a method like this sooner, she could have saved a lot of time and saved their friends from fighting each other and believing Jintan to be completely crazy...
Of course you are not bothering me :)
I was sad as well that I didn't like AnoHana as much as I hoped I would.
The short answer would be the characters. All of my problems literally boiled down to those annoyingly immature and unbelieveable characters. I hated every single one of them.
The concept of the anime wasn't bad, and I felt sad here and there, but I just couldn't sympathize with them and their problems... :/
It's hard to pick just one... I like the full version of the OP and I've listened to this piano verson of Dango Daikazoku a hundred times - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlgNA49E7lI .. I think the whole OST is amazing really.
I consider myself pretty ~new~ to anime, but yes, Clannad/AS and Higurashi are definitely my favorites so far! They both, in their own way, got me hooked on anime. I mean, they are both very different, but they both made me go WHOA. Even though I've got a ton more anime I want to watch, I've rewatched both of them xD.
I looked at your list and I'd loveee them to do an Angel Beats re-boot. The characters and soundtrack and animation made me rate it pretty high (I feel like there's so much potential there), but it would be awesome to have them do a cleaner remake with less plot holes and not such a rushed ending.

I'm not sure if the link still works since it has been a while since I downloaded it. Hope it works.
Yeah it's overrated.
