So... What can I say aside from "I'm an otaku"? Since it's already obvious as to why I joined MAL.. O_O
Hmmm... Well, I really like discussions and anime reviews and wait--that's like saying the obvious too, lol.
But weirdness aside, I'm not too nitpicky with the anime I watch(well, maybe I am but WTH), just as long as I am enjoying it. And I will NOT enjoy it if:
1. It has noticeable plotholes.
2. The show has asspulls; pluralized.
3. It does not serve its genre very well.
4. It's giving a vibe of "drag".
5. It's too cliché(imo).
6. It has excessive fanservice.
7. It does not interest me. ;D
Actually, take out number seven. It is like stating the obvious again lol. An anime should'nt have at least 4 out of 7 of these conditions for me to enjoy it even a little. Anyway, just looking at my list makes me look really nitpicky now, am I not? Hoho but to be honest, I was thinking about Hunter X Hunter when I was making my list. It's just all "no" there right? I mean all of it Haha.
Hence, I gave up watching the popular HST(except One Piece) a long time ago. Also, Fairy Tail by the way. Don't make me explain it more here, really, 'cuz fans of those anime wouldn't like it. Especially since it's coming from an ex-fan who hasn't been watching those ever since...forever lol.
Time when I gave up:
NARUTO SHIPPUUDEN - after they got Yamato-sensei and Sai, and I think that's the first arcs of it. Damn. That was just too long time ago, eh? Then, skipped some episodes until Itachi died. Lol.
BLEACH - I dunno the arc's name but it's the appearance of Amagai(skipped some Bountou arc eps and some of other arcs in between.) Watched movies, but that's it.
FAIRY TAIL - after Tower of Heaven(?) arc.
That's all!
So yeah, I have a thing about shonens haha. Which explains why my fave anime of all time is, none other than, Hunter X Hunter. But I still watch(ed) other anime with different genres like romance, sports, mystery etc. I just couldn't feel the epicness with others compared to shonens so I'm really into shonen(although it's a demographic lol).
I really wish Togashi wouldn't end HxH a little too early though. It's just too awesome! :DD
So let's stop it here before I resort to fangirling mode.
