ごきげんよう、貴婦人!

Have you been studying Japanese too and what do you think of the fantasy genre?

Ahoj!

Well, I'm kind of the same, I'm not passing by much, and I'm not watching that many shows either, but I do like to keep track of the shows I watch so I still pass from time to time to update my list and stuff, and a few times I found some random friend request, so those times I would pass by more frequently just to see who was the person, who out of nowhere decided to add someone whose profile is barely active lol

Loooong siiiiiiiigh... Well... This is hard to say, but this year has pretty much gone blank for me. I did my working pratcices, and was all good, but there wasn't much else after that, they offered me a topic for my graduation project, we (a friend and I) were suspossed to redesign the water pumping system to drain the water from the mines... But with all the Covid stuff things got really complicated, getting all the permissions became a never ending process, we needed permissions from the university, from the company, and also the ministry in charge of education forbade all working practices and/or graduation projects if it meant the student had to assist to the companies. The university could get a permission for that too, but as I just said, it was a never ending process. And also there was also the gasoline issue.
In that plan we spend more than 7 months waiting, in all that time I was constantly talking to the teacher who is the head of the deparment that approves the graduation projects, at first she told me to keep waiting, then she told me to try and see if it was possible make it as an academic project (so that we didn't have to assist to the company), but in the end it wasn't possible and it was the company who told us to look for a different topic.
After that we started looking for a new project, and it wasn't until the end of November that a teacher told us he had a topic, but it was making an app, and I didn't know anything about programming so I've been learning Python and looking for information regarding what the program will do.
So yeah, a blank year...
As for the job, the last time I talked with the company workers they told there is still a chance, if not with the main company, then with any of the little companies that also work there. So there is still hope I guess, but have to finish my project first.

There's been a lot going on your side too. For better or for worst you had three months off, and despite the pandemic you could visit your family and friends (hope they are all doing well), even went back to the Netherlands, so I think it was good on that half. On the other half there is the situation with your current(?) job, are you still there? In the end did you decide about what to do? I can understand that feeling of wanting to learn something new, so getting a new job could be a good option, the issue is how hard is there to get a new one, at least for me, living here in Venezuela, it's been pretty hard to find a new one, and I'm desperate to get a better one!

I have to say I don't think is pessimistic to think that, but lately with Pfizer and Moderna's vaccines progress I'm staritng to see the 2021 on a new light, so I'm hoping next year won't be as bad! Crossed fingers!

Now as usual, back to anime!
Haha I can understand why don't you like him, certainly not the most loved charcater, actually, really far from it, not to say he can be really annoying most of the time, so I can understand why you don't finish the series.

Katanagatari was a great show, just checked it and it's one of the shows I scored with 10, thought a few times about rewatching it, but well there are a few more shows I've thought about doing the same, but so far the only ones I rewatched are Fate/Zero, ReZero season 1, and... Noup, I won't tell you, you'll have to guess it, now try to guess what series I rewatched during this pandemic.

So yeah, as you guessed (because I'm sure you did), I rewatched the whole Monogatari Series, and loved it as much as the first time I watched them... Or even more! But this time I watched it following the stories chronological order, and it was even better than the first time I did following the release order, there are any things that make sense when you watched following the same order the story has. But it was a mess! Having to go back and forth between diferent seasons just to follow the story specially with Mayoi Jiangshi, Tsubasa Tiger, Shinobu Time and Shinobu Mail since they all happen pretty much at the same time, but definitely was worth the time!
This is pretty much the order I followed.

I did watch a few more shows since last time, but the remarkables ones are the Monogatari Series and Tower of God, definitely a must watch, at least in my opinion, if you still don't watch it I recommend you to do it, I loved it, but I'll give you a warning, well not so much a warning, more like my personal experience with the show,.

I spent like three or four days of mixed feelings after the last 2 episodes, what happened was so unexpected! I spent like 3 or 4 days between angry, frustrated, surprised, I couldn't believe what happened.
So if you watch it, keep that in mind!

Hmmm... It's Decemeber and normally I'd ask you about your plans, but seeing the time between replies should I just wish you you enjoy your carnivals? lol

That's it!
I feel like I've spent hours writing this reply, so until next time!

Ahoj!

Good to see you are fine, even with all the coronavirus thing going on. Haha Looks like that first week after the lockdowns started was pretty intense, but I guess it's a lot easier now that winter is over and you are working from home? lol

As for me, I'm doing well, here the lockdowns also started by march, and only the essentials are working too, but just until noon, 2pm at most, but there was also an oil shortage so there were lots of measures and restrictions by the government, and just recently started to lift them, around a week ago, or so. So with alll things going on I'm stuck at home! lol

What else, what else... Oh! I did my internships! I made them in a coal mining company, it was really interesting, first of all, the mine is just something else, I have seen pictures of mines many, many times, but being there is something totally diferent, it's all just so interesting, actually, thinking about my internships, it was kind of funny, I went to the mine whenever I got the chance... The thing is, I was assigned to manteinance planning, an office job, so I didn't had many chances to go there, but whenrever someone asked me if I wanted to go I'd just say yes (no matter what I had to do), and go, and then just go and tell my boss, 'hey, sorry, I was in the mine' lol Well... I said an office job, but they also send me to the mine a few times, when any of the equipments was having issues.
They also gave me a topic for my graduation project and even offered me a job there, but then all the quarentine started and, even though they told me that I can start the project, I need an advisor from the university, and the only teacher who can advise that project doesn't reply, and it's been more than a month since we told him... And I have to finish my graduation project to start working there... It's really frustrating!
The only thing I'm not missing is the schedule, I had to wake up at 4am! Had to travel 2 hours, work 8, and then travel 2 more hours back home, and that was every single day! Definitely, not missing that part!

Too bad about your journey! But well, now you have more time to be sure what you want to do there, or save money to do even more things that you planned(?)

Haha same here, I've got plenty of time, too. Just I'm not watching as much anime, don't know, just spend time watching other stuff, shows from HBO or Netflix, or movies. At least the past few days I've been watching Tarantino's movies, you know, until a few weeks ago I didn't really pay much attention to his movies, the only one I watched was Django Unchained, but then, watched Unglorious Basterds, and decided to watch more, so watched The Hateful Eight, and it's just a matter of time to watch Pulp Fiction and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood lol And with all this time even started watching Star Wars...

Now, back to anime, I'm still watching but one series at a time, at least a few days ago finished watching Danmachi 2, and before that watched Kono Subarashii Sekai 2, so that's how I'm doing, I think now I'll watch Lord El-Mellio from the Fate series.

Oh! So you were watching Evangelion? How was it, did you like it? And also the third season from My Hero Academia was great, at least the Big Three arc, (didn't watch Gentle and La Brava's arc...), I really liked the characters and the fights!

That's how things are on my side.
You too, take care.

Ahoj!

So Spring/Summer 2021, sounds like a good plan. Also looks like you already know where you want to go, besides KyoAni studios is a really interesting tour, got anything against KyoAni, but I'm not much a fan of the studio, do like their series, but there are other animation studios I like better, like Ufotable or SHAFT.
You know, I don't really watch much TV, so I can't remember ever seeing a documentary about Japanese nature, but have seen many pictures, and since started studying Japanese have read a few articles about it, so I know Japan has some amazing places.
And what about festivals? I think going to one would be very nice!

Haha Have to say, reading my last comment and looking back, that time was pretty tough, but I'm doing better now, can't say everything is good, actually there are a lot of things that are fram from it, but I think it could be said that things are going on the right way, at least I'm currently taking my last two classes and started my graduation project, so yeah I'm not as bad as back then ^^

So back to anime then! xd
Honestly, I'm not watching as much anime lately, I'm varying what I watch, I mean, from the last time I've been watching series like The Handmaids Tale, Vikings, also watched La Casa de Papel and Dark, so the time I used to dedicate to anime isn't anymore for only anime xD Well the last series I watched were Jojo part 5, Danmachi and Demon Slayer, and yes! Demon Slayer was great! But now I have to wait untill the movie comes out! And the next arc looks like is going to be awesome! Even though I got the feeling the Fire Pillar is going to die :/
As for what I'm currently watching, Fate/Apocryoha, and started BNHA 4 and Fate/Grand Order, and still watching One Piece and Gintama.

So you were considering dropping seasonal series? Could you do it? xd I made up my mind about it, because I was like that all the time too, but it was impossible, there is always a series that everyone is hyped for, and you just get swallowed in the whole thing and end up following it, or there is also the sequel of a series that you like and it's like 'I must watch it!' so I just decided to keep it simple... 'I'll just watch what I feel like watching!' Easy! And sounds like a good motto too haha

So your blog is going well, good! And what are you planning to do?

Well, that's it, untill next time!

Ahoj!

Whaaat!? You are planning a trip to Japan! :O That's great! You know, I'm glad you are planning the trip, but I have that as a goal too so I'm kind of jealous >.< And do you know where do you want to go, or what do you want to do? At least, I've always liked the Shinto shrines, I don't beleive in god, but always liked that part about the Japanese culture, so that is a must for me if I get the chance! Also making a prayer and ringing one of those big bells you see on anime :P Oh! And of course, I'd visit Akihabara too xD

Have to say, I got really excited when I read you are working on that trip, hope things go well and you can do it soon! Crossed fingers!

Also, are you looking for a new job? Just asking since you said when you find a secure job... Looking for something better? :O

As for me, can't say things are going that well, here there is just one thing after another... By the end of March there was a blackout that lasted a week and it's been awful since then, the problem 'got solved', but the solution only lasted a week, and then it was the same, one more week in the dark... It was so... frustrating, angering... Things weren't as bad because of family and friends, but damn, it was crazy. Now as a consequence, I don't think I'll be graduating this year, but if I can finish my classes, I can make the working practices and then apply for a job even if I haven't done my graduation project, so that's what I'm aiming at now.

There have been a few more things going on, but I'll keep it short, if not it gets too depresing u.u

Changing the topic, back to anime, are you watching anything? I'm just following Jojo and Attack on Titan... The last 5 minutes of the first episode were so intense! Now I need the next one! >.< Aside from those I caught up with Game of Thrones, just in time for the final season! Spent years trying to watch it and finally did it, feel so proud about it xD

That's it on my side, until next time!

Haha Looks like you didn't have much to do at work xD And how is it now, more work? Or is less and less work, as it gets closer to the end of the season?
Looking forward to administration work... What are you supposed to do that's got you so interested on it? haha
It's funny you complaining about people who doesn't read, because I'm one of those, so I have ta talk on their behalf! xD The truth is... We are LAZY! We don't like to read, we don't want to receive a folder or mail with a document that's 10 or 20 pages long, we just want the step-by-step of what are we supposed to do like 'ok, if you want to practice some skiing then: step 1: Pow, step 2: Boom, step 3: Bam' and you are done!
Nah... Just kidding, I'm bored :P But people really is lazy to read, at least once I read that one of the most commons lies is that people actually don't read the contract of service before signing it, I'm pretty sure this isn't new, but it proves that people doesn't like to read that kind of stuff.

I think those searching for clues sotries are good too, but I guess what really got my attention in The Promised Neverland was how Emma Ray, and Norman were always trying to be smarter than Isabella, and how they always planned things so thorougly, but Isabella was always one step ahead and knew what they were into, but the most impacting part, was when they finally decided to leave, I loved that arc, but after that wasn't as good :/
I totally get you! That scene with Phill and Donna was really well animated! Now I have to catch up, many things happened and now I'm a few episodes behind.

'When you reach the 300'
That sounds so far away, it took me more than 2 years to reach 100, t feels like I'll need a live to reach the 300 xD

Well, I think that's all not really, a lot happened since last time, but let's just keep it at that
Now I'll go and watch the Champions matches for today :) And hope you get plenty of work to do :P

Ahoj!

You know, that's where I'm failing, in the conversation part, I need to get someone to practice with... :/ I do know there are apps that help you find a conversation partner to practice with, but always have a no-good reason to don't download them, like I forgot, I'm busy right now or my memory is all used up, but I need to get one of those xP
If that's how it is, then you are better taking that course haha

Having people like that at work is great.
So you write your blog when you have nothing to do... That explains how you were able to keep up with so many things! hahaha

You caught up in just a day? You really liked it xd I do like the manga, but I think the chapters after Goldy Pound weren't as good, in Grace Field House they had Isabella and sister Krone, in Goldy Pound was Lewis, but after that, the chapters when they looking for the places Minerva told them in the messages and the arc with... Forgot his name, the guy who was sent to kill them, weren't as intense, in short Grace Field House > Goldy Pound >>>>>>> all that came after, in my opinion. Just hope it picks up again in this arc now that Norman is back, crossed fingers!
I thought that too! I don't get that either! haha They didn't think it properly when they animated those parts xD

Oh, my bad! I didn't mean only old shows, like series from the 90's or early 2000, I meant it as a whole, old series or more recent ones, more like not seasonal anime.
Hey! Now that you mention it! I finally reached the 100 episodes in Gintama... After 2-3 years watching it! :O I like the characters a lot, and the show has some good arcs and jokes, what I don't like is that the arcs are always short, and self concluding, and there are many episodes that are just filled with jokes and messy situations, having episodes like that is good, but having three, four, five, in a row, where you don't see much developement, or just not at all can be boring, at least if you are like me that prefer longer stories where the author has plenty of room to develope it. I'll keep watching it though, maybe I can finish the first season by 2022 xP

How was Wotakoi? I want to watch it, but started the Fate Challenge in December, and this year MAL Anime Challenge and have been focused watching other series instead.
Also, I did say I was mostly focused on seasonal series, but I did watch a lot of anime on January, it's been long since I watched so many in a month xd

That's it! Now I have to hurry with a work that was for today but I forgot! :O

See you!
FireHeart Feb 5, 2019 2:28 AM
Slovakia? Really? xD How are you liking our Eastern European life so far?
I hope you can sort out your responsibilities soon ^_^

Sweet :D Have you seen/read anything good recently?
The current anime season has been pretty lit so far ^_^ A lot of the popular shows are very good this time around.
FireHeart Jan 21, 2019 7:00 AM
I've been doing alright these days and it has been the same with me. I haven't been active at all during the past 1-2 years because of work and whatnot ^_^ But I still managed to keep up with the more popular anime and manga.

What about you? Are you still watching/reading?
User-01 Jan 20, 2019 4:37 PM
Ahoj!

That was fast!

Haha I reached the conclusion that downloading apps doesn't works for me, the only ones I have now are Anki and Jisho, and don't use Anki that often, guess just prefer reading in sites like NHK News Web Easy or 'アニメ!アニメ!'even if I don't know all the vocabulary, but with the base I got with Anki, and Jisho I'm improving bit by bit.

Oh! That's some good news! おめでとう!They let you watch anime? hahah I'm just curious because I know there are places where even if there is no work to do they wouldn't let you watch anime, movies or series, my brother was once in a job like that.
Nice! Is nice having people in your daily life who also watch anime or read manga right? at least I've never been in a convention, but I do have neighbours and friends who like it and is really fun talking with them!

I was just asking because I just can't, just pay attention for like 10 minutes to whatever I'm watching and then just forget about it, unless is really interesting, but well I also have this bad habit of just turning on the TV and leave it alone making sound... Guess there is normal people out there who does watch TV :P

I did hear a lot from the Reincarnation as a Slime series, so thought of watching it, just not yet. Have you seen Re:Zero kara Hajimaru Isekai Seikatsu? Haven't seen that many isekai, but that one was great, imo.
What am I watching... From the last season Jojo 5, Index 3, Radiant, SAO and Run with the Wind, from those 5 my favorites so far are Jojo and Run with the Wind; Jojo is different from your normal shounen series, the fights are more based on intellect than just cheer strenght, and it has a pretty decent story, and Run with the Wind, I just like sports series haha And so far this has been pretty good, nice characters, the story so far is good, but what I like the most is the characters interaction, they are pretty funny to watch!
From this season I'm just watching The Promised Neverland, read the manga, and think is pretty good so I just had to watch it, also Boogiepop caught my eye, but decided to watch it later and from Dororo heard a couple things, so I'll have to give it a try later on. I already have 5 series from the previous season, one more is enough.
And what about old shows? Did you watch anything interesting?

See you around!
FireHeart Jan 18, 2019 10:55 AM
Hello :) Long time no chat! Hope you're doing okay these days.
User-01 Jan 13, 2019 8:59 AM
Ahoj! And happy belated new year for you as well!

Surprise! I thought you forgot MAL! Just kidding lol But really, it was a nice surprise coming and seeing your comment notification, that was totally unexpected!

What? You even had time to study Japanese with all those things going on? How did you do that? I'm amazed haha Und wirst du Deutsh lernen? Wann fängst du an? That's from the few things I remember from school, so I don't even know if it's right haha
Well if improving your German will give you an adavantage, it would be best if you did that, and you can keep practicing Japanese bit by bit like you have done so far. At least I don't practice every day, actually there are weeks where the only Japanese related thing I do is watching anime, and still I've improved, of course, I'm not in the point where I can say I speak/read it properly, but I understand more things than I did before. The kanji are still a nightmare, though... lol

You had to work on Christmas and New Year? Wow... Just the idea of working on those days is annoying xD But besides that looks like your schedule is pretty flexible, not really a fan of working on weekends, but if I can get three days off in a row I wouldn't mind :P

Oh! So you went to Vienna a few more times! Nice! That's one of the goos things Europe has, since the countries are small, everything is 'close', here is the opposite, here things are so far away from each other D: haha

Both Vienna and Bratislava sounds like a nice places, hope I can get the chance to go there once, but there are other places I'd like to go first :)

I'm doing... well, I guess, the situation here is pretty bad, Venezuela suffers an hyperinflation, so things are expensive, and if you go next week to buy the same thing it turns out it is even more expensive, and the week after that the price just keeps going higher, and so on, and that brings many consequences... And that's just one ofthe many issues Venezuela has... But I'm hanging there somehow, trying to focus on the things that I need and want to do, at least now I'm focused on my studies, in a few months I should be done with all my classes, so I'm starting to look for where I'm going to do my working practices, and also trying to find a graduation project topic, if things go well I should be graduating this year, thumbs up. So yeah, がんばれますよ!

You watch anime during breakfast? I can't do that! lol I don't know, I just can't get focused xD And are you still working on your blog? :O
Well, hope to see you soon then, let's see if next time you give me some recs because lately I'm mostly watching seasonal series :P

Ahoj!

Yasumi-chan you are back! :O

Waaaa... Seems like a lot of things have changed for you since last time!
First of all, congratulations on getting a job! Even though is super late(?) xD And how is this job going?
Wow, you had to move quite a bit in just two weeks haha So first you went to Vienna, how was it besides not knowing the city, did you get time to do some sightseeing or had to spent all of it with the training?
And now you are in Bratislava, how is it? I've heard about Vienna so many times, but not so much about Bratislava, so I'm curious. Ha, you found the apartment just in time xD

You were even able to keep up with your blog, and you are still with the magazing? You definitely have a lot going on, and how is it going with both things?
And now the million dollar question... Drums... What about Japanese? Do you even have time for it? :O

I'm glad things are going well for you, keep it up!

As for me, well... Long sigh... I don't know, this year has been tough actually, I had many ups and downs because there's been so much going on, I mean, the economy here in Venezuela, how you can work, work and keep work and still your money is worth nothing, the university with all it's issues, so classes getting suspended, then going back to normal, but when that happens you lose all motivation to study, that and many things more, I got stressed, frustrated, los track of what I wanted, and thinking about it I think for a moment I even got depressed, I actually thought about quiting, I was tired of all of that, and thought about quiting studies and stuff, and just take my stuff and move somewhere else, wanted to do it but my friends didn't let me, they were like 'like hell you are quitting now!' (thinking about it, that's a fun story about why not to cheat haha), that and also my passport not being up to date, and I'm glad it wasn't, quitting implied losing so much I've worked for D:

So well, that's how things been going, but now I'm getting back on track, I got motivated again, don't now how, thoguh... Just finished classes a few days ago, had to spent two weeks totally dedicated to study, and now I don't know if a had more stress when studying or now that I'm waiting to see if I pass all my classes :S Also I've been playing soccer, and even started the gym, but had to stop it again due to classes u.u But in general now I'm all good, like I friend says, 'I'm powerful!' haha

I think that's it, sorry if it's not what you were expecting but that's how it is...
Looks like you won't be passing by much, so until next time!
