I have been watching anime and reading manga now for one and a half year aproximately and I must say that it is my number one hobby atm. Now I am in highschool, but I am graduating this summer and then I will study japanese culture, customs and language at the university for atleast 5 years after that.
My hobbies are, anime, manga, football, volleyball, partying, friends, music and traveling and I recently started to train at a gym aswell so I am allways busy ;)
The top 3 anime I have seen:
- Serial Experiments Lain -Code Geass r2 - Higurashi no naku koro ni and kai
Top 3 mangas I have read:
- Berserk - Ichigo100% - Mahou Sensei Negima
My manga collection!
O-Part hunter volume 1-11
Death Note volume 1-12
Claymore Volume 1-15
One Piece volume 1-3
Berserk 1-16
And alot of others that I will add later when I get a bigger collection.
The genres I like the most is Psychological and horror-ish. If something makes me think real good, then its a sucess. So far the greatest psychological anime I have watched is: Serial Experiments Lain, this anime will keep you on the edge for hours, it will creep you out, it will make you wonder and in the end you will think, oh so thats how it is. Anyway, the king of all anime is in my opinion code geass r2. The first season swept me off my feet, and I guess the second season just blew me away. I-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e, awesome and amazing. It has a 15/10 rating with me.
Code Geass r2's counterpart in manga is Berserk. Not because of similar storyline or anything, but because its so much better than everything else I have read. I might have given Ichigo100% and Mahou Sensei Negima 10 at the ranks, but compared to berserk they are probably 8. But I cant compare everything to berserk so its 10 on them aswell. So I guess I could say that the pinnacle of manga is Berserk and the pinnacle of anime is Code Geass r2.
Despite all the Psychological talk I do enjoy almost everything aslong as its not extremely cute or hentai-ish.. Thats just grose.
My favorite characters are in the list to the left, but as a personal favorite among the favorites it is Roronoa Zoro from One Piece (No duh?).
Favorite music:
Lets see... I generally like everything from pop to black metal (xD) but I think rock is my main genre. Here is a list of bands:
- AC/DC - Iron Maiden
- Guns N' Roses - Linkin Park
- Dio' - Creed
- In Flames - Alter Bridge
- Abingdon Boys School - Sonata Arctica
- Porno Grafitti - Blue Scholars (rap lol)
- Metallica - Muse
PS! If you send me a random friend request you have officially failed at life. If I have met you in the forums or if you try to get to know me its a different story.
In addition to all that serious crap I have fumbled down above I gotta say that I really say much useless stuff which almost allways doesnt make sense at all! (Inspired by the great crew of monty python!)

Happy Birthday!
Hope you have a wonderful time on your very special day! ♥
Yes, Tijuana is in Mexico – I wanted to go to Cancún for a couple of weeks this summer, but there were a lot of unexpected expenses this year and I couldn't afford to go. So, my girlfriend decided to treat me with a trip to Tijuana instead. She wanted to book a trip to Cancún, but October is their rainy/hurricane season. So, she decided on a city on the west coast instead.
As for my weekend, it was relaxing – not too many parties happening around this close to finals. I chilled with my mates, watched some anime, read some manga, and did some laundry. It's a choir that I found that I loved to do when I moved away from home. I find the white noise of the washing/drying machine to be soothing and the deed itself rather cathartic – what I hate doing is ironing – I love that particular choir with an intensity of a thousand suns! XD
In any case, I hope that you had a wonderful day and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)
Yeah, my birthday was a blast and to think that I would have been equally as happy with a quieter birthday. LOL! I also love the gifts my frat brothers gave me and my girlfriend and since then my girlfriend and I have tried their gifts several times! XD Hey, we have to be grateful and try them out – after all, what am I going to tell my brothers when they asked how I liked my gifts. We also tried them out during our vacation the following week during Canadian Thanksgiving. One of my gifts from my girlfriend was a romantic getaway, what I didn't know that it was a trip to Tijuana!!!
In any case, I hope that you had a wonderful weekend and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)
...there are a lot of topics to talk about actually.Anime related or not. =D
As for gifts my extended family (e.g., my grandparents and great-grandmother) sent me £200, which went into my trust fund. My parents sent me a card for my birthday with a cheque for $250; my brothers sent me cards and my baby sister sent me another finger-painted masterpiece. My girlfriend knitted me a blue (and cosy) jumper; an early edition of Moby Dick (my favourite book) and planned a long weekend getaway this coming (holiday) weekend. To celebrate my passing of the teen years (I turned 20) my frat brothers got me a lot of, to use the euphemism, "nightly adult bedroom toys" – a couple of which my girlfriend and I tried last that night and the morning after (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)! The funniest being a copy of the Karma Sutra wrapped in the dust jacket of, Karma Sutra for the Elderly. XD Other gifts included books, CDs, DVDs, gourmet coffee/chocolate, gift certificates to my favourite anime/manga store, various anime paraphernalia and trinkets, and clothing.
I'm glad that you're taking some time to relax, because all work and no play makes Yakamachi dull – I know it is important to make money, but what is point of it when you don't have time to spend it. In any case, it is good to hear from you again. I hope that you had a wonderful day and that this post would find you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)
So, you're in the process of downloading Legend of the Galactic Heroes – I have downloaded it quite a while ago and haven't had the chance to watch it yet. However, now that I think about it, I should get around to watching it soon, because it's taking a lot of space on my computer. One thing could be said about this series is that despite its age, it's ranked rather high on MAL, which speaks volumes. As for me, I started watching Flame of Recca yesterday and I just finished watching Koihime†Musou and D.Gray-man.
Actually, my anime watching has slowed down since school started – why has people think that my anime watching has not wavered? XD I used to watch twice as much anime during the summer and now I have cut back significantly, but as I said before, no one seems to notice! I reckon even at half my intensity, I still watch more anime than expected.
In any case, I hope that you had a wonderful weekend and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)
And I'm sorry to hear that about your computer; it's certainly not something pleasant. It's been a long time since I've had problems with mine; but I know how exasperating it can be when it happens. I bet when it's all fixed you're going to go from anime marathon to anime marathon. You have, after all, a lot to catch up with. ^^
Wow, it seems like you are really busy having two part time jobs – it must be hectic scheduling both jobs into your day. I'm sorry to hear that your computer is not functioning well – hopefully, it’ll get fixed soon. I don't know what I would do without my computer – it is a very useful tool that is very difficult to live without. Although, I imagine that I could if the situation was dire enough, though I wouldn't want to try it! XD
In any case, I hope that you are having a wonderful day, that you have an awesome weekend and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)
