What makes an anime truly great? Is it the story? The ability to make you cry, laugh, or reflect deeply on life? Perhaps it’s simply the way it entertains you. The magic happens when these elements come together seamlessly, creating a masterpiece that resonates on multiple levels. Of course, we’re all different, and our tastes vary. What moves one person might not strike the same chord with another, and that’s perfectly okay. The beauty of anime lies in its diversity—there’s something out there for everyone, no matter what you value most in a story. In the end, a good anime is one that speaks to you personally, whether it’s through its characters, themes, emotions, or just pure fun. That connection, however unique, is what makes it special. What’s truly important is not to elevate your taste above that of others. I find myself envying those who can laugh freely at the things they enjoy, even if those things don’t resonate with me. To find joy in something so simple, without overthinking or judgment—i truly, from the bottom of my heart, envy them.
