Hello, welcome to my profile page. :)

My first exposure to anime was (unknowingly) as a kid growing up in the 80s watching a lot of dubs - Voltron, Battle of the Planets, Robotech, Transformers, Astro Boy, Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Belle & Sebastian (and probably numerous others I've long forgotten). Then the 90s arrived and I drifted away from the cartoons of my youth. Whilst studying for my final exams in 1998 I caught hold of Pokemon and Sailor Moon which piqued my interest again, then shortly afterward discovering Neon Genesis Evangelion which reignited my love for anime and ever since I've been slowly trying to catch what I can.

At present I can't really say I have any real preferred genre or setting. I have immensely enjoyed the Ghost in the Shell series (movies and TV series) and do tend to lean a bit towards fantasy or sci fi, however I've also been able to enjoy others such as Baccano! and Lupin III. Whenever I start an anime I usually try and watch at least 4-5 episodes to try and get an idea of whether I'll like it or not.
