Started in the 90s via the usual (Ranma, Lum, Miyuki), had a decade or two off then back with a vengeance. Learning basic Japanese and would love to go one day should life allow.
I really don’t doubt it. I had tears in my eyes going through those last few chapters, so I understand where you’re coming from. Funnily enough, Girl on The Shore was the first manga I ever read, while Punpun was my first…”bigger” manga, haha. I reckon it’ll take me a while to digest the full extent of what went on in Punpun - especially Aiko and her predicaments - but your comment really put things into perspective. And I’m saying this after looking through dozens of reactions and analyses on the manga. Wishing you the best, Nick. Rob.
I finished Punpun just now and came across your comment as I was skimming through the finale reactions. I'm mostly of the same mind, but this isn't about that. Just wanted to say that you have a beautiful way with words. So honest, yet so evocative. You put things really beautifully - you get me. So if you ever decide to write more on Punpun, or anything else for that matter, definitely consider doing so. Cheers, man.
