My next anime is actually going to be Gurren Lagann, another Gainax work. I've heard really really good things about this one, so I'm excited. I think I like Gainax quite a lot so far :)
i found myself crying at the end of the last episode
That's cool, you can go to Hartford a lot then! I actually never went to Hartford even though I lived in Connecticut. NYC was just so much closer, I guess... That's pretty much one of the only things I regret about moving away. I love cities, especially New York.
Ugh, last winter was not something I'd like to experience again. Especially with all those awful hills over there, the number of car crashes must be ridiculous... And wow, that's pretty sweet xD
Never heard of Big-Y. And ahh, I see, have you ever heard of Ridgefield? That's where I used to live. I mean, it wasn't nearly as bad as Greenwich, but still. Hahaha is Plainfield by Hartford? That's really generic, I know.
Last year's CT winter = worse than this year's MN winter if you ask me. MN is not Alaska, contrary to popular belief XDDD But yes, snow is quite nice :)
The movie is quite awful, most of it's spent in extremely dark lighting and you can't see a thing! I am definitely gonna read the book as soon as school gets out.
Is Plainfield nice? We didn't really like CT much. The area we were living in was way too... old-money? No offense if that's your family. But houses that are a few million dollars being an average thing is not something we were used to, coming from Minnesota. XD
I actually just finished watching The Count of Monte Cristo in a class, so I'll definitely give Gankutsuou a try too.
Thanks for the recs :) And I lived in the...southwest portion? Near Greenwich. What about you? Connecticut is a REALLY small state.
We actually do seem to have quite a high anime compatibility. I can understand why people give Code Geass lower scores, it's just so ridiculous and the plot is meh. But I found it extremely entertaining and the animation and everything was great, so I gave it a 9. Of course, I'm biased, since it was my first non-childhood anime.
As for Death Note, I actually didn't enjoy it much at all, but I thought it was very well made and didn't have too many bad points so I gave it a 9.
Do you have any advice as to what I should watch next? It would be greatly appreciated :)
(Oh, and an added creeper's comment - I lived in Connecticut last year. Alright, I'm done now!)
lol thatsa oKay xD
