I heard many negative things about the anime, hope the manga is completely different

shit i cant wait for that! Hopefully re zero s2 is well received in Japan so that we can get s3

i read up until arc 4 after the anime ended and i decided not to read further cuz i somehow got the feeling it will getting s2 sooner or later, and i think it paid off :) btw which character is your fav so far if lets say in terms of anime only?
Mine would be :
-Subaru cuz his tremendous character development
-Echidona cuz how twisted she is
-Beako after her Backstory revealed
-Roswall the twisted man who simps on Echidna and wanted to achieve his one and only goal (im pretty sure it has to do with echidna)
-Otto cuz his the best wingman xD

It's my all time fav too, considering i have watched some 'big shows' i cant deny re zero anymore as my fav. Also about the animation/art i think its becuz they started this project earlier in 2020 and not knowing Covid struck, so they are forced to work at home and basically this is the result. There are some good key animation here and there throughout s2 but not as eye candy as s1. I think the most important part is that we are blessed to be able to watch Rezero animated after 4 years. I'm really gratefull with that and i can see the passion in the works they put it, Even tho not as good as it was before (so many key people already left the company i mean its already 4 years so alot has happen to the studio).
