I'm so glad there's someone who shares my point of view on Pale Cocoon. I actually scored it with a 3, but that doesn't matter. We both think it was thousands of miles far from the deepness that the masters of overrating clamed for this show for at least 6 months after its release. x)

Exactly. My would be mostly adventure and fantasy stuff, much like Fractale or Full Metal Alchemist (still need to take a look at the Bortherhood adaptation), and on the other hand, I love slice of life stuff. Can't get bored of slow plots about nothing. :D
And comedy... well, if the show presents itself as a comedy, then I'll either laugh all the time, or not at all, I sadly noticed that. The best comedy I saw so far is Keroro Gunso, and chibi Suzumiya Haruhi-chan. ( it's just so funny for some damn reason! Probably because it is so retartded, lol. )

The only drama I can see is the one in anime - and I rarely find a good one too. :| Though it looks like a comedy only by its picture on its profile here, I doubted it was, since it kind of has this "serious" tone to it in the summary. I have no idea if it does, but I'm kind of pretty sure it end in some tragical happy ending. Or something. xD It just leaves an impression.

I kind of see what you want to say. I experienced such an anime a couple of times. I guess I'll avoid it then, because I've had enough of false praises. :| Besides, I'm more of a comedy type. I don't like depressing confusing dementia stuff that pretty much look like a drug. LOL.
Speaking of false praises, I'm also extremely surprised to have encountered a person who actually dropped Baccano. I myself never watched it, but have heard so many "oh's" and "ah's" about it I thought of checking it out already. Why didn't you like it?
