Read your Xros Wars review and found it excellently written for a negative critique, even if I loved the series personally. I do however have a question. Its something Ive always had trouble grasping and it annoys me a bit.
Why is character development necessary? So many posters I read say they need to see a character change from one to another. While I enjoy that (I enjoyed Kiriha's change in the series for example), I have never found it necessary, and I have enjoyed plenty of characters who stay static in their ideals and ways.
I feel like a lot of shows have a character start out with bad traits and slowly lose those and develop them into good ones, but I dont mind at all a character who starts good and stays good and near perfect throughout, as long as the challenges present are at his level and maintain a level of tension. Is that not good enough? Why must there be a character who changes?
just FYI, digimon had some CD dramas for its season 1-4.. each season (1-2 only) has about 3-4 CD dramas, including character songs and mini dramas. If you haven't heard about it at all, I really recommend it. Most of them are good to great, and very refreshing with the character moments.. Almost none of kids shounen anime that had those bunch amount of CD drama
I see, but I assume the deva arc is just like yggdrasil arc in digimon savers, where digimon generally began to hate human beings because they disturbed digimon's existence and made many disaster to the digital world, so they decided to get rid of those humans and their world. And in the end it represented the same conclusion, that all they thought were false, they misunderstood some aspects, that human and digimon are actually have 1 same thing, that is struggle to survive. It's just my thought, after all
btw have you heard of the Tamers' CD drama? If not, I really recommend it for you, because in there, you might feel what you won't expected from the last episode of digimon tamers.. also there're bunch of character moments we spend in it. I think that the CD drama had made me love digimon tamers so much, so many feels, and become one of greatest anime I have watched all the time
I liked your review of digimon tamers, but I wanna ask one question. Why do you hate the Deva's arc? Do you think it's unimportant for you? I simply appreciate the deva's arc because there's so much conflict between human and digimon, and the arc made the story clearer and eventually know what actually happens. I found every arc is very important, but it's just me..

Nice Digimon 2 review. I can agree with most part of it, especially Ken and BlackWarGreymon. If you don't forget, could you please send me a message when your Tamers review is finished? I really liked that one and would be interested in reading it. Thanks :)
Also, I tried Digimon Frontier back in the day, but couldn't stand it. I see that you rated Digimon Savers 10, so do you think it would be worth checking out?
