I rate my anime based on how much I enjoy it, not its production or "objective" value. For instance, I might enjoy an ecchi anime like High School DxD and give it a high rating despite the fact that the show itself might be of low quality. If you have a problem with that, then don't go through my anime list.

I am a casual scrub with shit taste that loves action and adventure animes, at least according to the anime community. I actually have no problem with that connotation, as it is probably true. Oh and before you ask: the only reason I gave Sword Art Online a semi-good rating was because it helped me through a dark time, so it holds personal value to me. The show itself is pretty much garbage. There. Stop complaining.
