Growing up in Taiwan meant that I had lots of exposure to Japanese animation although it never dawned upon me the distinction between The Simpsons and Dragonball (that's what kids watch, right?). Anime has been "cartoons dubbed in Japanese" for me. Got into downloading fansubs in high school when a friend online made me sent me episodes of Digi Charat over ICQ (wtf?!) and that's how I got started. Strange.
I now go to college (or more like grad school) in the United States. If you look at my "location" you might recognize which school I go to ^^a
I have also been learning Japanese since 13 and getting into Anime has made me actually study it harder, so that helps. I was a manga/anime translator for some groups for a while but I got tired / too busy so I don't really do that now. Maybe in the future?
I enjoy a great range of anime - mostly Mecha, drama, some love comedy. Find me on 4chan /m/
