That's really the actual blackbird? I'm planning a travel to Japan for the 2020 olympics and stay as long as the visa permits me, I would go nuts if I spot the real blackbird.

I never thought so deep to search if the bosozoku story was fake or real, this is a real eye-opening news for me.
In my opinion they just wanted to avoid the strict traffic cops so they lowered the radar.

Good to see people still love the old school days of street racing. The Mid Night club was legendary. They paved the way to the late 90s tuning scene.
The GTR could hit 195 mph at Yatabe back in the early 1990s, later the Devil Z clocked 211mph, and on and on. They simply couldn't stop tuning.
Some claim that they could hit 230mph+ later on this decade. Even though those claims were not proved I don't doubt it. You had to hit at least 200mph to be considered a member at some point.

Sadly it ended because stupid bosozokus.

Yeah. Looks that way. Been meaning to rewatch NGE since I haven't done so in nine years. Shout out to buying the Platinum Collection almost ten years ago so that I don't have to wait for Netflix.
