I've read a bit of the manga, and it was okay. I guess I will have to watch the anime sometime soon.
DeletedAccount23 Nov 28, 2008 7:29 PM
Sorry, my apologies.

Anyways, what's new with you?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yeah, it's quite difficult to celebrate a birthday during the workweek and in your situation. I'm half surprised that you didn't celebrate your birthday early during the previous weekend. Alas, celebrating your birthday this weekend is just as good. Have fun and be safe! =D As for gifts, I'm glad that you got something that you like – by the way, what constitute a Japanese kitchen set – I tried to google it, but had come up rather empty.

Ah, for responding to my post rather late, don't worry about it. I know how busy life could be as a prospect, respond as quickly or frequently as you wish – I'm just glad that you haven't forgotten me! XD In any case, I hope that you are having a wonderful day and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)

Mate, wishing you a happy birthday on your special day is the least I could do! =D Regardless, did you have a wonderful birthday? What did you do? Did you spend it with people who are special to you? And most importantly, what's sort of presents did you get? XD

In any case, I hope that you had a wonderful day and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)

Happy Birthday!
Hope you have a wonderful time on your very special day!

Hey mate, it's been a while since we last traded posts. How in tarnations are you doing? Its sounds that you have been really busy lately, regardless I hope that you are fairing well. As for me, there hasn't been much that has been happening to me except that I'm enjoying my summer to the max and watching an obscene amount of anime and reading a heck of a lot of manga too.

There have been two major things that have happened to me recently and they both happened to me earlier this week. Firstly, I got a new computer – well, not actually new, but new to me. My frat brother just bought a newer computer and he saw how old my computer was (about twenty years old) and decided to give me his old computer. So, now I'm a happy member of a five year old computer! =) I'm so happy, because this computer is so much faster and has more space for me to download anime! XD I have no idea of the specs of the computer, but it's so much better than my old one that I got from my older brother.

Secondly, I just recently finished restoring my Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R sports cycle – my fourth motorcycle. My three other motorcycles are: Harley-Davidson Sportser, Harley-Davidson V-Rod and a Kawasaki ZZR 1200, but the Ninja ZX-12R is my most recent. Not too long ago, I got it recertified by a licensed mechanic and registered it with the DMV and for most of the weekend I was out riding her and her older sisters. I had a great time with them! I'm thinking of restoring a third Harley-Davidson next, but I have yet to look for another motorcycle to restore.

Yeah, I have seen quite the bit of anime lately, but I can not list all of them that I've seen since my summer holidays have began – it must be close to a hundred and fifty or so series, OVA, films and specials all together. So, for me to write a list from the best anime I watched this summer down to the least – it's quite improbable. I have read a couple good manga that I really enjoyed like 20th Century Boys, Akira, Black & White and D-ASH – mostly senien series, which I'm rather surprised about – I always thought I was a shounen fan, but it seems like I have matured a tad.

Thanks for recommending the film Kung-Fu Panda, normally it's not a film that I would regularly watch, but my girlfriend did express a willingness to watch it, but then again, she's a rather film buff and likes to watch all the new releases. In any case, I hope that you are having a good weekend and that this post finds you well. Take care and I hope to hear from you soon. =)

I love it. It's litterally one of the best animes I have ever seen.
Taylor_Tertius Jun 5, 2008 2:06 PM
Hmm... I have never thought of retirement, but then again, when have you known a teenager to think of that? Yes, I would have a lot of time on my hands, but that time period is decades away and in-between them would be little or no summer holidays available. Actually, I have a tentative plan that I might do during my retirement years; I always wanted to backpack through Europe. I was about to do that for my gap year (take a year off before university) and since I graduated high school a year early, I planned to make it a two-year trek, but I decided to go to university right off the bat. Besides, I might appreciate Europe more when I'm older. =)

Well, in all honesty, my anime/manga plans for the summer is not a major priority, just a wishful fantasy. So, far I have gone to every summer event, every party, and basically did everything that I wanted to do and still mange to watch some anime and read some manga – it helps that I only sleep four hours a day. XD I know that if I choose only to watch anime and read manga, I could easily achieve what I planned, but then I would have to sacrifice a great deal in order to do so and I'm not willing to do that. All in all, at the end of the day, I'm tired beyond belief, but it's a good tired. =) Hmm... the anime and manga you have mentioned sounds interesting, I'll check them out later and decided if I want to see or read them.

In any case, I hope that you're having an awesome day and that this post finds you well. Take care, study/work hard, relax some too, and I hope to hear from you soon. =)

Hi there! =) It has been awhile, since we last traded posts, since then not only have I finished my exams, I got my exam marks back, which I did fairly well – my marks range from low to high nineties – percentage wise and I've been summering for nearly a month now. I've also moved out of student housing for the summer and into my fraternity mansion, where a couple of frat brothers and I are house sitting for the summer. Other than that, I'm not doing too much, but enjoying every moment this summer can give – I mean, when else besides our university years do we get three or four months of summer holidays? So, how are you been? What have you been up to?

As for anime, I think I gone a tad mental, because with limited space on my hard drive, I started downloading One Piece and Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Two huge series! I'm really starting to question my sanity. You see, my original plan for the summer was to watch Naruto and to be caught up with the latest Naruto: Shippuuden, by the end of the summer. Now, I plan not only to do that, but to be caught up with D.Gray-man, Katekyo Hitman Reborn! and One Piece. Could I finish/get caught up with all these series by September? I don't know, but I would like to try. =)

I'm also trying to beef up my manga stats, so I'm taken to reading more manga online, which is starting to go well. I don't have any definite goals for my reading, but I don't want it to looks so anorexic beside my anime stats. XD So, have you seen any good anime or read any good manga lately?

In any case, I hope that you are having a wonderful day and that this post finds you well. Take care, have some summer fun, and I hope to hear from you soon. =)

Ah, so you changed your mind right after you graduated, but at least you entered university knowing what you supposedly wanted to be. Right now, I'm not sure and I'm a tad worried about it, but I reckon that not everyone knows what they want to get into at the beginning at university. Oh well, I'm sure that I would find something to do that would make me happy – just wish I knew what it is. I sometime envy those that already know what they want to be and strive for it.

So, how have you been? Things have been a little hectic on campus. We only have one more week of lessons, before the study/exam period begins. Our professors are rushing to cover everything left on the syllabus before lessons ends. So, we have a lot of reading to cover and last minute tests and quizzes that are taking place – just one more week until all Hell is let loose.

Have you watched any interesting anime lately? So, far this weekend I've finished three series, but only one of distinction really Kimi-kiss ~ pure rouge. In any case, I hope that you are well and I hope to hear from you soon. =)

It is quite the paradox isn't? Time... or rather the perception of time is rather mysterious – even at near light speeds, time still flow constantly, if not at different rates and yet our perception of time is in constant flux.

Ah, so you're in the business field, did you always know what you wanted to be when you started university/undergrad? I ask, because I'm currently a Liberal Arts major, which means I have no idea of what I want to be when I graduate, but I'm willing to pay, or rather the university is willing to pay (because I'm a scholarship student), an obscene amount of money to have me graduated a well-rounded "educated" person/bum. I'm interested in a lot of fields of study, but nothing that I can see myself doing after I graduate.

Yeah, I reckon that fundamentally, we humans are rather the same, underneath all the façades and walls we build up, on the most general and most fundamental levels – we are all the same. We all have fears, worries, hopes, the need to love and want to be loved, etc, what those are is different for everyone. Identity is the totality of our life experiences and our brain neurons process our relationship to the world and each other.

What we are never changes, but who we are never stops changing – the question then remains, who am I? An answer, I'm afraid that could never be answered by words or thoughts, less we want to limit ourselves. Ah, pardon me, I'm still in the middle of my existential exploration and I tend to wax a tad too poetically about it if no one stops me. You should see how I get when I'm slightly inebriated; I've been told that I'm an amusing philosopher.

In any case, I hope that you are well and that this comment finds you in similar circumstances. Talk to you soon! =)
Taylor_Tertius Apr 10, 2008 9:20 AM
Hey! Time flew by for you? It's odd how the passage of time could seemingly go at different speeds to different people at different circumstances. For me, it hasn't gone fast at all, but retrospectively as I look back on the school year, it seem like it went really fast. Are you a graduate student? I ask because you're working on a thesis/dissertation and yet have no finals – you actually say the last part with a hint of nostalgia to it, which only adds to my theory.

In any case, I know how you feel about Hi no Tori, it is the same way I feel about Hikaru no Go. It wasn't the first anime I watched that distinction goes to Pokemon/Digimon, but at that time I just thought it as a cartoon and grew out of it. I haven't learned the concept that all anime is animation, but not all animation is anime. However, it was Hikaru no Go that got me back into anime and no matter how outdated that animation would get or how obscure it would get in the annals of history, it would forever have a special place in my heart.

In any case, good luck on your dissertation, thanks for wishing me luck on my upcoming finals – I would take as much as I could get and I hope to hear from you soon. =)
