Have you read the ss1 & ss2 volumes ? because despite them being extras they show new characters and has a few chapters about Sugita Gunha 7th esper and Ollerus .

Aside from that I would recommend to aru love letter . It's a nice short novel especially if you are interested in Kumokawa Seria ;) . Other than that if you like Kanzaki you should read Norse Mythology she is the main character of that volume , if you don't like her then it doesn't matter that much ..

Hoshi no samidare , Berserk , Dorohedoro are all quite the manga I love them all . I haven't read Hakomari , and lone wolf yet but I'm sure I would enjoy reading them :D , I will start reading Hakomari once I'm caught with all the Toaru light novels and side stories .

Can't speak for Billy Bat, because I'm waiting for it to finish, I've read all Naoki Urasawa's major works straight from start to finish and looking back I think it would have been too much to wait a month for a release when the plot starts to thicken. But still all solid options.

I see. Then I think I'll do as you say and get to watching Mushishi first. I've heard nothing but compliments so I intended to watch it eventually anyway. I had it downloaded before but my laptop died on me.

Thanks for the advice! I can't really pay you back with an anime recommendation since I think you've pretty much seen most of what I could recommend so I took a quick look at your plan to read list and picked out a few I think you should read soon:
Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan - Short but very powerful; Slam Dunk - The pinnacle of sports manga in my honest opinion; Legend of the strongest man Kurosawa - very strange but also very well written and mixes comedy with depressing moments and hopelessness disturbingly well; Liar Game - it's lacking in a few elements such as character development but the games complex and smart with grand strategies and psychological battles.

There were a few others but I thought it'd be better to narrow it down to 4.

Oh you also like Tower of God? That's awesome!
It's a great read and really addictive for some reason. It leaves almost all manga of the same genre in the dust. Let's hope that one gets added in the near future as well, since the only thing it needs is to be printed in book format and it's popular enough by now so who knows?!

By the way, I see Kino's Journey and Haibane Renmei (might be messing up here but that's what the one on the right of Kino looks like to me) up there in your favorites. I've been meaning to watch both those series for a long time. Just a small question, are they too episodic? And if so would you say they're still gripping enough for someone who's not usually into episodic series?

It wasn't allowed because for a novel to be accepted it has to be authored or illustrated by an author that already has a properly accepted piece of work in the database. Or it can also be accepted if it has a manga or anime adaptation. A little weird but oh well.

Now as to why it has been accepted, it's a bit of a far-stretch and a thin connection. What changed is that the author has a new novel. This new novel has a different artist illustrating it. This artist authored official manga in the past and his works are here on MAL. Because of this the other novel was accepted and the author of Hakomari was added and as he now had a properly accepted series here, Hakomari was finally accepted. Geez, in hindsight that was way too complicated.

And about Berserk, we all know that Miura can't control his Idolm@ster addiction. In between his love for those fictional idols and his visual perfectionism, we get 3 chapters a year if we're lucky.
