First of all, sorry for taking so long to reply! I took a break from modding and MAL in general for a while because of college and I'm just now getting back to everyone who's commented in that time.

Really happy you can relate. Yeah, I've always thought of the relationship the general public has with art as very unhealthy, especially on the Internet. People rely on critics and the general public to dictate their own opinions, which is really sad and such a waste of potential. I always enjoy hearing about people's personal relationships with said art. I don't care if you love or hate my favorite story, I want to know why you feel so strongly about it and what you got out of it as a person, not as a "critic". I want to know why the show with a score under 7.00 is your favorite of all time and why the one that's almost at a 9.00 didn't click with you at all. That sort of thing.
And this applies to everything when it comes to art, really. That's why I feel such a need to rebel towards attempts at objectively approaching an area where subjectivity rules (or, well, should rule) in most aspects.

On a personal note, I love your taste and find your favorites really interesting :D

Well, well, like i said before, i actually thought you had totally forgotten and/or didn’t use the profile as much, it was so nice to get that message even after a long time so no worries! I was really shocked i swear, but i guess it’s as you say; funny thing, i recently found another friend who happens to use last.fm and even thou he doesn’t listen to that much metal or any punk himself, we happen to have a really high compatibility because we share one or two things, totally random if you ask me. But it is also true that as i mentioned, big part of what i listen i don’t do on my laptop so i don’t get to have all those scrobbles.

Ohhh thanks for the reco! Never heard of them myself, but as you, it’s not that i’m keeping up too much with stuff. I always meant to, but between life, studies and anime i can’t seem to balance to get some time to keep myself updated on the latest releases. I mean, i even miss stuff from my favorite bands which is SUPER SAD IF YOU ASK ME. Anyways, did you get to listen to the latest EW album, any thoughts on it? Loving it or hating it? As for myself, i can’t say it’s one of my favorite from them, but if i look at it as another random album i really enjoy it, it’s just that when i think of EW i think of that really dirty and heavy sound, but i’m always open to changes, just that when something is SO GOOD, it’s hard not to miss it.

Saw your post in the "Civil Unrest in V..." forum. Besides the Bishamon picture <3, are you by any chance an Electric Wizard fan?

Pretty sure I've been open regarding how a lot of my reviewing style was based on him and several other Internet reviewers (Doug Walker, Todd Nathanson, Jim Sterling, Eurogamer writers, etc.). He's the most obvious one though because I'm an addict for cartoonish/pop-culture metaphors to describe stuff. I don't intentionally use his lines though. I just think of the angle I want to review the anime and it comes to me automatically.

Thanks, you do too. Loved Mushishi, Tatami Galaxy, and Samurai Champloo. Admittedly, I haven't seen Nichijou before, despite of hearing how hilarious it is.
