My name is Maria and I'm a human-like potato that tends to procrastinate way too much for my own good. I am currently studying IT enginering in university. At the same time though, I plan to attend art class and become a comic artist and an animator... someday. Maybe when I finish with the current profession I study. I can wait. [insert Shia LaBeouf's motivational speech].
When it comes to music, I just listen to whatever clicks with me. I cannot identify with just one genre, but usually I'm falling for hip hop and rock tunes. Symphonic metal is the only metal sub-genre I can listen to though. (stuff like Nightwish, Within Temptation, Leaves' Eyes and more.) I also listen to an itty bitty of kpop. (I have quite a few artists I like.)
I am a sucker for comics, movies, games, books and tv series, animated or not. Mostly animated though, they have a bigger room for development in some genres.
Historical, dementia, fantasy and adventure are my favorite genres. A combination of any of these is what I'm usually looking for.
I am quite lenient with rating, because you know there are people who have used time of their precious lives to make all these shows, so I'm not really harsh with that. I will usually drop anything I don't enjoy. I will not sit through something I don't like and sometimes I won't even bother adding it on here as dropped or whatever. However, if I endure something until the end, it'll most likely be due to a character or out of pure curiosity to where it intended to go.

Such an inspiring speech, so glad I found it and Neil in general, for that I have to thank Terry Pratchett. They´re both great people.
I wish you good luck achieving whatever you plan to. Also if you like Neil´s and Terry´s work and you´re looking for some more good stuff, check Christopher Moore and Douglas Adams out, I really dig em :D
ed: also Matt Ruff

Other than that you might really enjoy Gankutsuou, it´s kinda artsy and the way it plays with character relations and different concepts like redemption or trust is what I really like, you can really see how well this part of the source material was adapted into such a different setting.
Well, I hope you´re alright and hopefully you´ll have a nice year ahead of you :P
If you haven´t, you should check out There She Is!, it´s a series of shorts with great directing/directoring (dunno which one´s right) of around 24 minutes without talking, just music and an simplistic artstyle. I really dig it :)
I really need to get more into this stuff, thanks for the recommendations, I´ll check ´em out sooner or later. Hopefully soon.
I just started reading Noblesse since I´m also procrastinating ^^, but from what I´ve seen in the first 8 chapters it´s promising and I´ll definitively keep reading. Also the low amount of dialogue compared to the drawings enable you to read at a fast pace, so it´s not like the 300whatever chapters will consume a lot of your time.
I´m not really into Manga just now, at least I heaven´t read a lot, but I recommend Girl´s of the Wild. The drawings are fancy and it´s overall quality stays at a high level. It´s also a Manhwa you can read at http://www.webtoons.com/en/
I should check out more of the stuff you like, most people recommend me stuff I don´t really like and your taste must be great.
