Uh, actually, I read more, since I also read minor manga and light novels that are not registered in MAL.
I read manga online, too. Sometimes I read 15 books at once in a day during a free period or something. However, I have a bad Wi-Fi environment, so sometimes it doesn't load smoothly, so I guess that's stressful.
I think I moved two or three times as a kid and once to go to college. I remember that the sister who lived in the apartment next door to mine during my childhood move was very nice and kind. Well, I also remember that it wasn't fun.
I once witnessed the person sitting next to me watching anime during recess. My job is an office job.
I haven't bought manga at regular price lately.... I buy them used or rent them most of the time. The price varies depending on the size and thinness of the book, so I feel that large and thick ones are expensive. I think the prices are going up a little bit, overall.
As a reference price...
(1) Ouke no Monshou, vol. 68 (Shojo): 500 yen
(2) Blue Giant vol. 3 (Seinen) 690 yen
(3) Master Keaton Remastered (Seinen) 700 yen
(4) Otashare! Volume 3 (Shojo) 907 yen
Shonen and Shosei are mostly the size of (1).
I think Seinen is mostly the size of (2) and (3). There are some color pages inside.
(4) is often the size of comic essays, complete manga of Shonen and Shojo, etc. The complete editions have some color pages inside.
Used manga that have been on the market for about a month, manga that have been adapted into an anime or are in the process of being adapted into an anime, and manga that have been serialized and are popular are around 350 yen. Manga that have been on the market for quite a few years, manga that are not popular, and manga that are popular and overstocked can be bought for about 110 yen. Compared to overseas, it is indeed cheaper, but I think that overseas paper is more resistant to deterioration.
I see you've moved, I'm surprised how many of my MAL friends have moved, which makes me a little envious, as I haven't moved recently.
I haven't seen the anime of Spy Family since I've read it in manga. The guy sitting next to me at work seems to be watching the anime, though. I watched Tokyo Revengers first and got hooked on the anime, so I watched the anime and read the manga. I haven't read the latest issue yet.
Tokyo Revengers is a Yankee manga, but it has a sci-fi element of time-reap, and I think that's what makes it so good. Also, the characters look cool, so it's popular among women. A live-action movie was also made, and since it's a yankee, yakuza movie, a genre that never fails in live-action movies, that one became popular, too, to some extent.
Recently, I've been renting and reading as many minor manga as I can, since the stores that carry rental manga are going to stop carrying them on September 4. I want to read at least 60 books.
yes the anime is pretty slow paced, but it's not until around Thriller Bark ~ Dressrosa arc that it's really painfully slow haha
a lot of people would recommend to read the manga instead, but I still prefer anime after all, haha
LOL yeah I love Law and still do!! He appears much later in One Piece though, so take your time if you plan to continue~
wait, I never realized I get notifs in my email from mal :O (then again I rarely checked my email, too many in my inbox x_x)
well improving in art skill as in, the higher your skill the more you can draw anything you want, like, getting better in anatomy, composition, coloring, etc. Currently the things I can draw is very limited haha.
to come up with ideas I just browse tons of pics. Usually from pinterest haha.
yeah because once you know japanese, there is just too many things lost in translation. I especially hate the omission of suffix, honorifics, and also pronouns... especially in character where they have some kind of habit in their speech or some dialect (like kansai dialect)...
ohh yeah spin off movies sounds more doable than a brand new series I guess. It's just too much of a wasted opportunity not to explore more of the key characters story. I wouldn't mind if it's in the form of a movie too!!
the two series is incomparable imo. It's way too different.
hmmm do you like rap/hip hop?
the franchise I'm currently in is about rap battle haha
Hypnosis Mic -Division Battle Anthem-+ (basically introduction song to the characters and franchise lol. It's how I first know the series too. From this song. Really loved it the first time I hear it haha)
Stella (my favorite song of the series)
"Femme Fatale" (they are the main antagonist lol)
Studio version
Live version
There are so many songs I like in this series lol.
My usual process, although I don't know if it would work for everyone, is that an idea pops into my head, I open up an MS Word document and then I just start writing down loose ideas for characters or scenes that could spawn from that initial idea
And once I have enough of that framework down, I start writing a story that ties all those ideas together
I also find listening to music while you write can set the mood, and having a snack gets my brain juices flowing too
dangg you still active here! haha
tbh, nothing much actually happened really
it's kinda scary, like, time totally blurred ever since covid for me lol literally nothing changed
I still play genshin, though, currently I'm in burn out state (that's why I came back here LMAO)
recently I watched Hypnosis Microphone (Hypmic) anime, that's how I'm back here
I remember I was really hyped for a lot of upcoming anime years ago, including Hypmic anime, but all got delayed because of covid, and that's how I fell into black desert online and genshin rabbit hole lol the hype for those anime died
Only now that I finally watched anime again. But it's only Hypmic so far. And no intention yet to watch more. Maybe I'll catch up to One Piece soon.
While I'm inactive here, I'm pretty much 100% active on discord yeah haha
My discord is Shicchi#5237 just in case you decide to try discord :D
Digital art, well, I'd like to think I keep growing yeah, in followers number and also I was able to raise my price bit by bit so I guess it's an okay development?? though I feel like I don't improve much in the art skill itself, but oh well
YEAH IT'S CRAZY HOW FAST TIME IS
Last time I remember you're in university, and suddenly about to start a job now, dang
congrats on the new job!! and also good luck! haha
I'm not a fan of manga as well, bcs I don't like reading in english without knowing the original japanese text...
so if there is anime adaptation, I rather watch the anime!
YES IT'S CRAZY ONE PIECE IS ENTERING LAST SAGA
I mean, it's a saga so it will still take some time (dunno how long) BUT the fact that we are reaching the last part... it's also crazy how we don't actually want it to end lol
I wish they will make spin off (a prequel, story of the Pirate King era, Gol D. Roger, or Kid Pirates/Heart Pirates adventure)
the world of One Piece is so vast and well built, the characters are also really interesting, there are soooo many things to explore still. Crazy right. It's already super long, yet there is actually still so much to explore. I feel like one last saga won't cover it... At least I was expecting (and wish) Luffy journey to find One Piece is still long. But then again Oda is only human. Better finish it while he's still healthy and able. Still felt unreal though that One Piece is ending...
Dangg you still listen to them loll
The title of the 2nd song is Charles/Sharuru! haha
Hi :D
I'm alive, hahaha
I heard HxH gonna resume, must be great for the fans including you right??!
and One Piece is entering last saga, it felt unreal I wanna cry T///T
Well, no other country specifically tbh, but I'm sure I'd love to visit many different country given the chance!
I can see your reasons clearly now! I agree, Ushijima is a really good spiker. He only lost to Karasuno because of the freak duo. Still, he's really powerful! Madara is a really well written character, I agree but personally I like Obito more. Who's your favorite from Naruto?
In season 5 he does become OP but let me tell you- you don't need to force yourself to finish BNHA. The anime is nothing special and honestly the only thing I truly like about it is Shouto. I'm finishing it because it was my 2nd anime after Death note so I feel like I need to watch it. I can also see how anyone would not like Shouto too much!
There are several reasons, please bear with me!
BNHA was the 2nd anime I ever watched and the only reason I started was because of Shouto. Now I didn’t know anything about his character or personality, his character design was too beautiful for me to ignore. When I watched BNHA needless to say I was not disappointed.
I think his character had a lot of depths. Even though he was abused his whole life, he was still calm and a tad bit cold. Everything about his personality makes sense- why people might think of him as cold or rude. His father didn’t let him have any friends and even distanced him from his siblings- his siblings didn’t know anything about their own brother. When his mother burned him he was really young. Still, he understood that she didn’t mean him harm. It was due to his father- and he was so afraid that his mother might hate him that he didn’t visit her. Also, when he loves someone he loves them terribly. He loves his mother a lot. He didn’t want her in any inconvenience and didn’t want her to hate him, hence why he decided to bury his fire deep inside his heart. He also loves Midoriya- not in the lovers sense, but as a best friend. He didn’t hesitate to go over an unknown location that Midoriya sent him. He also motivated Iida to get up and do what he believes in. That leads me to another point, his development. Alongside Bakugou, Shouto had the best character development of all the characters in the anime. He was cold and he didn’t need/want friends at first but after the 2nd season, he started to loosen up more. His provisional license classes are a proof of his and Bakugou’s development. Another thing I like is how he can lose- he doesn’t necessarily win any fights he does or anything important too. It’s important I think that a hero doesn't win every time because that's how it works. A hero doesn't always win. His dynamics with other characters are interesting to watch as well. He also knows how to be a comedian at times and his personality is just amazing. Shouto had a great impact on me and I can see why he would not have such a big impact on others. For me, Shouto Todoroki will be the best anime character ever. I hope in the future as well!
Yeah I have watched shigatsu and I am not very happy about it cuz it fails in various themes for me . It was like a seinen concept tried to fit in a shounen anime and failed miserably for me at least . And yep hyouka is a good mystery tho I suggest you read the novel cuz its much much better .
Ayy , thats what I wanted to hear . Hope you enjoy it~
