About me:
Well I'm a student ATM, I'm in my third year at Chester University for an English and Creative Writing course, so I suppose that means I have some measure of skill at English. Annoyingly though, I'm not one of those people who can be all 'let's sit down with a good classic book' (though I now have to be, my reading list is MASSIVE), the classics are something I steer clear of, call it whatever, I just can't read them.
Though, a few of Stephen King's books are good, The Shining and Carrie are two favourites.
The manga I read is usually of the Anime I've watched/am watching, with a couple of exceptions. About 90% of what I'm reading is my actual collection that sits along my bookshelves. I've got around 650-ish volumes currently. There are a few series that I read online, but if they're available over here, I switch to volumes if I can. My dream is to one day have one of those really old fashioned libraries, with like oak panelled bookcases, sconce lamps and a ladder on wheels to reach the high shelves - every shelf would be filled with mangaXD
I like my animes like I like my television shows, with strong female leads - generally I find men in anime to be obnoxious and prone to douchebaggery (though the same can be said of some women, so I try to avoid shows with women like that too). I don't understand why most anime guys, when encountering a female fighter or whatever, tend to respond with 'But you're a girl! I'm useless myself, but get back to the kitchen anyway!' This is pretty much the reason that most of my favourite anime characters are female, though there are some males who are pretty respectable in my books.
Saying this, I've not been watching as much anime lately. This really boils down to two reasons:
1) Being in Uni now, I don't have as much free time as I once enjoyed so it's harder to sit down and watch episodes (or a whole series even) on anything
like a regular basis. This is probably why I'm reading a LOT more manga lately, I can pick it up a little easier.
2) There's less anime these days I get passionate about to the point where I'll watch them all the way through without much pause (I think either Claymore or Red Garden was the last time that happened).
I actually changed around my favourite anime and manga Top 5's recently (the ones to the side of my profile). I changed 'em becuse I was pretty much a kid when I first started watching, and obviously, hadn't seen much, so what used to be there were my favourites at the time. These newer lists much better reflect my tastes now. Some of the old things are actually still there, like Kiddy Grade and Pani Poni, but there have been things I've seen/read over the years that I've enjoyed much more than some of the things I saw back then.
I don't associate being a strong lead (male or female) with the amount of sex appeal a character has. Just because a person is 'drop dead sexy', does not make them a good lead, and by extension, does not make someone a good actor. This is pretty much one of the big reasons why I can't watch any show or seasons of a show produced after 2003, when what I like to call 'media stupidity' set in and people started judging actors by how much sex appeal they have in regards to anyone aged 12-19.
Hype aversion influences a lot of my opinions about forms of media. I hate to have the world at large tell me how 'amazingly good' something is, it just makes me dislike it. I like to discover by myself how good something is. That isn't to say that I hate reccomendations, if someone tells me that a show/book/whatever is good, I'll look into it, if the world demands that something is good, I don't.
Often, I indulge in writing (or rather, when inspiriation strikes) though what I'm only good at is fanfiction. I'd love to be able to create my own characters someday, but it's a long time coming, fanfiction for me is like one big warm-up for when I can finally do it.
I write in any genre that fits my mood and what I'm writing for, though one thing I try not to do, is include couples in a story just because. An adventure story can serve perfectly well by itself without miles of UST dragging down the plot.
My fanfic stems from my interests in anime/manga, games, books and TV, though I never know quite what's going to hit me next, hence my odd collection of writing fandoms at the moment (The Worst Witch, Star Trek and Persona, anyone?). On that note, feel free to look me up on ff.net. My username is V-San.
My taste in games leans towards the RPG side (though I do have a love for a good fighting game every once in a while), though my backlash theory applies once again here (it's taken me 12 years to even start to play FFVII for example) and living in the EU as opposed to NA means I play a lot of things later than most others.
The thing I like to see in RPG games, above graphics and story, is innovation. Games that stand out to me are ones I remember and ones I follow the series of more closely. I've played both, but the Shin Megami Tensei (all it's offshoots like Persona and DDS included) series appeals more to me than Final Fantasy, because of the ideas presented in the game system, story and even music, tower above the FF ones for me. This is what can make some older games (Shadow Hearts) much more entertaining to me than newer games (Star Ocean: Last Hope).
Games I've played that I still enjoy discussing *hint hint*

Onto my personality. I'm (hopefully?) quite nice once you get to know me, if a little bit of a tease sometimes. Also, be prepared for a lot of sarcasm on my partXD
As a rule, I ignore random frend requests. UNLESS, the person comments/PM's me, actually talks to me and builds up a friendship.

A half-Asian tomboy told me that Sunrise will make a future Gundam SEED movie. I hope that means Tanaka-chan will reprise her role and write a new song.
I actually enjoyed 13-2 more than 13. I don't know if it's because I liked how the story was a bit easier to understand or just because I was able to use monsters as allies lol. If you liked the music from 13-2 you'll definitely love the music in LR. They do bring back a lot of the themes from 13-2 since Caius, Noel, and Yeul appear in the game.
LR is pretty good, it's a step up from 13-2 for sure. But the battle mechanics have chanted a bit. It's not like the first two games. But still kind of similar.
I've been pretty good :D busy with work though >.<
Yo have you gotten your hands on Lightning Returns? The time limit on each day is crazy pressure for me >.< I even bought the game guide but it doesn't seem to be helping me manage my time at all haha.
I'm planning on buying one pretty soon and just wanted to know what sort of stuff I can do with it lol. Getting Pokémon X with it hehehe.

Too bad Abby can't become the 4th agent >.<, that would be just too awesome my t.v would explode xD.
That's good to know, I wonder how they will end her story. They better not have her die or something >.<, I'll be so pissed if they end it like that. Hmmm, I wonder if they will even replace her.
Kotsu said that since aost is back up that atunes no longer serves any purpose. But it did serve a purpose, it was a cool hangout.
Speaking of the Omnibus series, is that like a whole different take on the story, or is it still the same? Because I wouldn't mind picking up the ADV and Omnibus books. But if their the same thing, well I guess I would probably just get the Omnibus books.
