Yeah, I agree with the Yuuri point, and especially your point about Murao and Kominato, which seem to exist for the sake of the show being able to claim it's not ONLY about the main characters. They get very little exposition and development, especially Kominato. In my review, I was pretty hopeful that these two characters would get more developed later on (due to the strong beginning you mentioned), once the main characters had their fill of screen time. I was quite disappointed that that didn't happen. I'll update my review sometime and knock a point or two off.
I'm glad you liked my feedback! I thought it would be taken defensively, as with so many other cases om the internet.
Hey! I saw your Ao Haru Ride review. While I respect your opinions and even agree with several of them, two things quite bothered me:
"(Yuuri) is supposed to cause conflicts between the two main characters and, have conflicts with them but, she fails at all of the points I listed."
It seems you have a close-minded, pre-conceived notion of what a shoujo is "supposed" be, and anything that deviates from this norm is immediately bad. That's the impression you caused me with that comment.
I for one find it very refreshing that Yuuri falling for Kou didn't cause conflicts between the MCs. It's such an overdone cliche in so many other shoujos that one where the girl's friendship prevails over infactuations with boys (worthy of turning the saying "bros before hoes" to "sisters before manwhores" :P) is quite welcome. Plus, she knew in her heart from the start she had no chance, because Kou and Futaba go way back.
The second thing that bothered me is how you only whined about the bad parts, as if the show had left you bitter. I suspect that's the case, you expected a lot from the first episodes and your expectations weren't fullfilled. No problem with this, but at least try to be fair in your review and say what you did like about it (after all, you watched it until the end, so there must be SOMETHING good with that show). This way your review will be of better quality.
