I chose your review because you did it now, and I saw that you gave it a 10, which made me interested what is the reasoning behind it, so I read it and liked what you explained about deconstruction, so I wanted to hear more of your opinion. :)

I understand your point, and I see that many people like it because it "deviates from the cliche magical girl genre, and no one is safe", but for me it is really not impressive, the plot twist maybe would be interesting if I didn't see S;G, but it was like that, only done pretty poorly, I don't know.
I don't think it is crap like No Game No Life for example, but it was really underwhelming for me.

I agree on NGE though, for me that is what psychological genre should be about, and it has so many layers, it is fun to rewatch many times, I really haven't found an anime as brilliant as it so far. :)

I read your review on Madoka, and I found the points you made about it valid, and agreed with you for the most part, although I really didn't like the anime, I found it very boring and uninspiring, just because it takes a different angle on the problem (magical girls) doesn't make it special in my book, although I would love to hear what exactly was it that you found so amazing? The characters were so forgettable in my opinion, I didn't form a bond with any of them.

This is not meant to be an attack or something, I liked your review, I just wanted to hear your opinion on the things I said, because I have a feeling you have nice and smart things to say. :)

Also, I really think you should watch Steins;Gate asap if you liked Madoka so much, one of the reasons I was so underwhelmed with Madoka is that Steins;Gate did everything Madoka did, but much better and added comedy and great characters. :)
