OFFICIALLY OUT OF ANIME HIATUS (Jan 2020-Apr 2021) after watching AOT S4,Saiki Kusuo final season and Slime iseaki S2.

I am planning to watch some anime seasons that I planned to but didn't commit or start a new anime that I haven't peeped yet. Preferably Re;zero or Dr. Stone or Jujutsu kaisen or Haikyuu. Don't know yet . This just might be a weird fluke generated by thehype of AOT but I'm all for it at the moment.

I am reading manga via. Tachiyomi , which is connected to MAL as well as anilist(same username,for manhwa and doujins which are not available in MAL)

Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! is an annoying piece of shit featuring the worst cast members in an anime. From the generic insert lifeless "relatable" male mc, annoying stupid eyeptach Rem , Twintail lesbian loli to Normie tsundere jerk girl; no llikable characters or character dynamic, irritating and infuriating instead of "funny" and just not a good comedy/SoL . The worst 5 episodes of anime that I've ever watched. And I ain't watching any of this type of shit.

Boku no Hero Academia is highly over-rated and season 1 is boring as hell. It was/is still an overly hyped show in english speaking anime community. While the show does get interesting after mid-S2 , the initial episodes/1st season aren't as intersting and "hype" as the fandom suggests. I don't dislike the show but I can gladly say that this is the most overhyped show of the latter half of 2010s.

Hestia(Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka) sucks. This boob-laced loli goddess is annoying af. Still after 25 episodes her role in the story is same, create problems that Bell(the mc) has to solve and be useless af.This same formula has been applied at least 5 times in every major arc (except for 1-2). I'd promptly ignore such shitty characters but the author pushes her in every arc and "Hestia is bestia" chant that every fanboy shouts. There are way more annoying useless characters than this but this is probably the only one character that is considered "best".

Shoujo genre is the least impressive genre which is mostly generic in the worst way.

No Game No Life is just an over-rated isekai with bright colors .

Kimi no Na wa. is kinda too-much popular for the salvation it provides to the audience .

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is just an mediocre emotional/drama series which gets high praises because of the "music" and the "tragic romance" factor. This is a entrance-level anime that most non-anime fan watch to transition in the anime community. While the show is decent and story-flow is well executed, the show is really overrated in this site. This show is rather inferior to other shows that follow the similar "tragic romance" of highschool drama. The music is inferior to that of "music" genre shows and there's nothing to takeaway aside from the loss o a character which is a big sad feeling. But the fact that "it's my first tragic romance anime" is the major reason of the high rating of the show, just not worth the hype nor the representative as the "25th" best anime in mal.

In the anime community,battle-shonen genre is the most underrated genre where most of the show are deemed bad/generic due to similarity in settings or character traits. Most people who grow out of the shonen demographic or who think they are cool/edgy people tend to think that bashing long-running battle shonen makes them mature. This is probably the most narrow-minded thinking that prevails the anime community. Any show with shonen-tag is deemed "unoriginal" without even giving a shot. Or after reading 1 chapter/watching 1 episode they somehow have grasped the entire 150+chapter worth of contents. Fuck such elitists. Your opinion just plagues the community.
Every genre has it's positives and negatives as well as troupes and character archeotypes . Yet only one major "genre" gets the hate.

I'm not fond of Homo-sexual romance anime series except for weird lesbian hentai. Just a teenage straight boy so I can't genuinely enjoy such shows. I want to mature as an individual to watch/enjoy such different topics.

Note :
1.) Most of my unpopular opinions are just over-exaggerated statements that encompass my experience of the shows mentioned.(i.e. for specific anime related ones)
2.) I know that shonen and shoujo are demographics so in the above statements; Shounen refers to long running action-adventure battle focused shows like the big three,Dragon ball,MHA etc. not Death note,Act-age,romcoms etc. While Shoujo refers to Shoujo-tagged romantic dramas like Fruits basket,Shigatsu wa kimi no uso,etc. Not necessarily referring to a particular show but the entire "genres".
