If we have a high anime compatibility percentage and you find yourself using my list to help you determine what to watch next, please consult my "tags" section. I've included very brief and concise (or at least concise to my eye... I tend to be a tad bit long-winded.) reviews next to each series with key points I particularly enjoyed--or did not enjoy about each series.
You may notice the word "YES" or "NO" at the end of many of these brief reviews. Please don't let this effect your willingness to try an anime. That's just for me to keep track of which animes I have the complete music collection for. If a series has "NO" at the end of its mini-review it means I enjoyed the music from a particular series enough to actively search for a torrent with the complete music collection and failed. If you happen to know where to find the music to any of my animes labelled "NO" it would be greatly appreciated if you were to share your info. ^_^ If an anime is labelled "YES" it just means I've already successfully downloaded it. If its not labelled--chances are--I'm not interested in downloading its music for one reason or another.
I try to avoid rating specials and OVA's because I don't believe there is usually enough content to give it an accurate score that is truly meaningful and fitting. If a special or OVA particularly stands out I'll give it a rating.

Also, while the Novels and the Anime are the same content, and same characters, they are 'different". I don't know if you've ever read Light Novels before but there are many I know that love anime adaptions, but can't get into the books easily. I always liked reading in general, but it was still even hard for me at first lol (though perhaps it was my mistake from starting with Vol. 5. Went back to the beginning later). Though I now feel the same love for both, it's in a different aspect. The anime is "instant gratification" for me while the Novels are more of a long progressive and detailed journey, with many side stories (just like life) with 90% of the internal thoughts being from Lawrence's view. If you do read Light Novels in general, then you should be familiar with how it works already, specifically with a series like Spice and Wolf. I would recommend getting a single volume at first, then seeing for yourself first hand.
You should check out Maouyuu Maou Yuusha, it's airing this season and it's about as close as anything can get to Spice and Wolf, I call it the "cheap-man's" version of it lol. Though a cheap version of something priceless is still very expensive, no? ^^
Haha yeah, you can't really go wrong with Kenshin or Brotherhood either ^^.
