As we enter into one of the busiest times of the year, we here at the Recommendation Club would like to extend our wishes for each and every one of you to have a wonderful holiday season!
Since the September newsletter, our club has gained many new members, and seen the return of old ones. We would like to keep the momentum going, and with our member list now at 3,111, that should be no problem at all! ^_^.
We would like all of our members, old and new, to help keep this an active, and fun club, a place to Chat and to seek out recommendations in our General anime and General Manga thread as well as the specific anime genre threads, such as Drama and Romance and Sci-fi and many others as well.
It’s a great place to make new friends, or renew past friendships, and we urge all of our members to drop by, and post in the various threads and comment section, as well as share you expertise with other members.
With the fall season upon us, the club has not been as active recently with our members being busy with work, school, and the other things life throws our way, but we here at the Recommendation Club want to let all of our members know that we haven't gone anywhere! We welcome you all to drop by, and say hello to old friends, or make new ones. We have a large member-list, and we would like to see all of you joining in, and sharing, your anime and manga knowledge with the club!
Loads of new members join all the time, either wanting recommendations, or eager to share their expertise with others, so don't be shy, and join right in! Like to chat? Well we have a thread just for that. New to our club or like to greet others? Check out our Intro thread. Looking for a new anime to watch or manga to read? Head on over to our General Recommendation Thread. Don't see what you want to know? Please feel free to make new threads to get your burning questions asked, or just join in with the others in the comments section!
We are currently seeking help with our member cards, so if you feel like lending a hand in this area you are more than welcome!
We look forward to seeing all of you at the club ^_^
Well, I highly recommend Usagi Drop.... It's the most sweetest thing ever.... Like, it'll just make your heart all warm and fuzzy... Idk, its pretty new so it's not finished yet (8 eps so far), but watch it anyway :P. I don't know if u'll like the art style or not, I found it to be weird at first but it definitely fits the mood.
Yeh haruhi suzumiya was good, though the second season was.... odd. But I didn't mind watching all of it, but the movie was soooo goood! >.<
Oh wow, you're the first person I've come across who has a very high anime compatibility o_O, I'm not sure on what to do or say at this moment lol, so I'll start off with a Hi! :P
That's ok ^^ I just don't want to ruin the surprise for you :D I think it is better that way.
Haha, I know what you mean. Usually I only stop watching an anime in preference to something else or if I'm just not in that mood for that anime at the time. I'm very openminded for what to watch really.
Death Note is pretty much like that all the way through. The ideas and concepts are so clever and intricate... its why it is so amazing! And you get a really awesome character called 'L' <3 He's so cool. It's really worth watching. I've seen it -so- many times and I never get bored of it. It's very fast paced.
Lol! Is that 'Nana' from Elfen Lied...? I think I would have given a similar wtf face :p Although sometimes I do look at anime characters and think... 'If he was a real person...' Sadly they are not :'(
Haha I know what you mean. I love complicated mysterious plotlines. Especially the supernatural stuff and a little bit of romance never goes amiss. I ADORED Clannad though. I NEVER cry at movies. I mean NEVER but Clannad After Story had this uncanny ability to make me cry o.O same with Air actually. But I do love the gory/violent animes. I'm watching Gosick at the moment - which is a sort of mystery anime and its also really good - and the characters are reallyyyy good :D
*nods* The art is wonderful in Jigoku Shoujo. I especially love how they draw Ai. I adore Ai's character so much <3 and the idea is fantastic and the plotlines are AMAZING :D
Hehe yeah you definitely haven't seen Rika at her fullest yet :) She wasn't one of my favourites in season 1. Hehe if you still like Mion now, you will love her even more later. She is a fantastic character.
It's not quite like that... and unfortunately it would be a major spolier for me to tell you why it is all happening... but if you make it to season two, it has ALL the answers <3 So far you aren't really supposed to know what is going on though you do get a few clues in the later arcs :)
Haha she did go a little insane at the end. Weirdly enough, I hated the characters and what they were doing but at the same time I still managed to watch the whole anime all the way thorugh all in one go!

Jigoku Shoujo is very addictive once you get into it. Admittedly, I watched 3 episodes and then didn't come back to it for months (I think I watched Umineko instead) and then I watched 1,2 and 3 pretty much all in one go hehe.
I'm glad you are enjoying it :) I adore the character. Especially Rika, Nipah~ I hope you continue to enjoy it. The second season is actually fantastic too and really clever.
I didn't like Makoto (I think that was his name...) at all. I knew the ending but when I was watching the anime I didn't believe that it would truely end up like that. I felt sorry for the two girls but Sekai (I'm so terrible remembering names) should have been a bit more upfront about it all . He deserved what he got though haha.
