Appreciate your review and I think alot of your points are valid. Number one critism i see with one piece is that its intimidating to trudge through and the major story beats that are introduced STILL have hardly any development what so ever and just small little teases here and there. Though I think that is in part due to the fact that oda originally wanted this story to be only a 5 year long planned manga. Which is why the story it self is consistent and oda is able to plant seeds so well because he knows the full plot and the end game. Not alot of shonen authors write there manga's in this way most just kind of come up with details as they go as heard from Kubo of bleach or Kishimoto of naruto and even Hiro mashima did not even know how he was going to end his manga so dispite the never ending struggle to make to the end, i think that is a good thing because we know the ending will be conslusive. Also serously how many shonen's do you know that actually end on a very solid note? Hardly none. So this could be a first for very long ongoing shonen jump series.

But on the same token, you can say the effective forshadowing is kind of a detriment to the series longetivity as well. Imagine if the story was only 5 years worth of material, it might of ended up a very different experience.

I do think adventure fans would be a bit disspleased however as part of the enjoyment of one piece is the many worlds, locations, characters the straw hats meet and its all about the journey rather then the destination.

I will say where you are currently, you are heading into a more tightly gripped story saga that is a bit more cohesivly connected so you may find it a bit more interesting in that regards and like the plot is finally moving some where.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
