I prefer Him/His pronouns, thanks.
I've removed literally every show from my watched and am planning to watch them to see what I think of them now, I first made this account several years ago so I expect most will change in rating.
As for the rest of this bio, I'm going to take a page from Digibro's book and use it to lay out my rating system.
10 - These are the upper echelon of anime as far as I’m concerned. To wind up here a show must do more than just be well written, it has to strike me in a very personal way and intrude on my mind for hours after its runtime.
9 - Still well written shows, maybe even faultless as far as I can tell, but it misses the beat in hitting me personally and thus doesn’t make the mark for a ten.
8 - A very well constructed anime but it falls short of nine for any number of reasons; maybe the pacing was awkward somewhere in the story, or a story beat falls flat and doesn’t hit its mark, etc. Essentially, this is where I get nitpick-y.
7 - I enjoyed the experience but there were flaws that were more substantial than just nitpicking. This is where plot holes or character inconsistencies start to come into play, not so much that it makes the show bad but enough that they hinder the experience.
6 - Definitely more good than bad but not enough good for me to put it higher. I probably won’t re-watch anything in this tier or lower just for fun.
5 - It’s not offensive, but also not remarkable.
4 - Just missed the mark of being mediocre but there was enough wrong to make the show teeter over the line into the negative.
3 - It’s a bad show, maybe there were things I didn’t absolutely hate about it but overall it was not worth the time invested to actually finish it.
2 - A bad experience through and through, there isn’t a thing I can honestly say that I enjoyed about this experience.
1 - The difference between a one and a two is not just the flaws of a story, it’s how much I personally hated the experience. A key example would be; SAO, I don’t like the show but I wouldn’t hate it as much if it didn’t have such a weird addiction to raping its female characters.
