Who me? I am your average anime freak who prefers to read the manga. Anime gives the colorful visual effect which is amazing if done fluently. There's quite a list what I've seen and plenty to watch and I don't plan to stop watching anime for quite some time.
Name: Thomas Likes: action, strategy, comedy, mystery and thriller series, but don't mind some gore or harem/ecchi to escape my bland life. Non-anime likes: Rock/metal music, racing (formula 1 in particular), gaming, Pokémon, and last but not least: boobies! Dislikes: overused elements, characters with amnesia, lolis, yaoi. Relationship status: single Preffered relationship status: harem (A man can dream). Well, that would probably be more than I can handle. I just want to have a lovable wife. Favorite lolz quote: We all need a dream worth dying for or a death worth dreaming about - Henry, Fire Emblem Awakening. Favotire serious quote: I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are - Mewtwo, Pokémon the movie. I will not accept random friend requests. See below.
Reminiscent narrator voice: It started when I was ~14 yo. I saw someone watch Naruto (battle between Naruto and Gaara) and was intrigued. After finishing the episode, I asked the name and started to watch the show. The young, innocent and reckless me had no idea of the immense database of anime back then, until I started to explore other big shows. While that may be a good start, they are not the best shows, so I started watching Code Geass. But after that, the mainstream ones and some random others felt lacking in several aspects. Afraid of getting that feeling again, I've been watching lesser known shows. It's good to watch or read something that few people know of. It makes you appreciate the good ones. Huzzah for the 'random manga' or 'surprise me' button.
Feel free to contact me. I love to talk about anime and manga and rarely get the change to talk about it irl, because not many friends watch it. Also, I prefer the manga over the anime most of the time.
If you have some recommendations for just about anyone and anything, send me a message! At the moment, I'm usually like sweet/ fluffy/ wholesome manga to appease my soul after a day of work.
About my ratings: I try to look at a show objectively, but they may get nostalgia or enjoyment points. This doesn't mean they end up very high though. A lower score of a 5 doesn't mean I didn't like it, but it just wasn't good. See my comments at my anime/manga list to see what I mean.
I don't rate (short) OVA's or specials for the specific reason that there is no general rating as with a normal season. They have different purposes, be it for fun, extra information (sometimes about a new season), total randomness, slice of life or even fanservice. And how fair are ratings about a 3 minute ova anyway?
Let me make this one thing clear. I will NOT accept random friend requests, at least send a message about why you want to be friends. I don't need a list of people that never spoke to me. Similar opinion of a manga/anime, you have read one of my reviews, you want to recommend something, or want to be recommended a show, ask about what I think of a manga/anime, stuff like that. It's all good. It gives us something to talk and bond about. Helps becoming friends in this era of strangers on the internet. My profile isn't open for everyone to view for nothing. ;) Concerning that topic, I will upload some screenshots on my profile as a food-for-thought to give an introduction to a discussion or interesting topic. They are found right below this alinea: (I need to add more from my phone. Forget it all the time...)
Osamu Tezuka has some great insights on morality and violence in his manga. Not to bash Amerika specifically, because every country has people opposing stuff. Especially now (2020 and early 2021) with Covid-19 protests and curfew riots... Read from left to right btw. It's an official english release.
Manga challenges (mostly for myself to adjust the manga and now that I have more than 1 also to show them. ^^)

I know we never chatted or anything, but I wanted to thank you. Long story short I'm in the 2024 MRC challenge and I'm fighting Envy - the boss where you can only read manga from other MRC 2024 participants' favorites or from your MAL friends' favorites. Somehow I stumbled upon your challenge entry, clicked on your profile, and found Kyou Kara Ore Wa. It fit a lot of the 2 damage ones (like "read a manga from the 80s" and "read a delinquent series") so I decided to try it. I'm almost at chapter 100 and so far it is pretty good! I disliked the first 30 or so chapters but I like it more now that I'm deeper into the series. I felt that around chapter 30 the stories/events went from being more episodical to lasting multiple chapters. Anyways, thanks again! I hope you have a great day/night! :)
Just wanted to express a huge thank you for the amazing manga recommendations. Your choices really hit the spot! Rojica to Rakkasei was such a great read, and I can't wait to read the others soon. <3
I went ahead and added you as a friend—I hope that's okay! I'm really looking forward to discovering more from your list.
Glad it was easy for you to pick recommendations, I am enjoying Otome no Teikoku and am almost caught up too. I had 2 Santas this event for some reason, not that i mind though, more things to consume... Well thanks for the recommendations again :D
Hello there o/ , sankyu for being my secret santa. I'm already caught up to Sekai de Ichiban Oppai ga Suki! (not tracked like a lot of stuff :( ) but did give Ishuzoku Joshi ni ○○ suru Hanashi a read and started Otome no Teikoku just yesterday, ill catch up soon and tell you what I think about that one too.
Ishuzoku Joshi ni ○○ suru Hanashi was a fun manga that gave me a good amount of laughs and had a nice charm to it, it's a shame that it only has 57 chapters though since i feel like it could've gone on longer without losing much of its charm but maybe that's a good thing when it comes to manga like these. The artstyle reminded me a bit of Seiman Dowman's works too, dont really have much to say about it.
This is absurdly overdue, but thanks for the recommendations for Secret Santa! I just finished the last one, and it was funny to see that our ratings were almost exactly the same. Needless to say, it was a ton of fun to read some series that I might not have gotten around to normally. If you participate in this year's Secret Santa, I hope that you'll get someone who watches/reads a little more quickly :)

I saw that you reviewed the manga "Somali to Mori no Kamisama" and was wondering where'd you read it.
Be it a website or a physical copy.
Today, I just learned that the author ended the serialization due to his deteriorating health.
I hope he's well in 2021. I couldn't find anything related to his condition.
Hello there! I want to thank you for such a thought-out and well written gift! While I haven’t had time to finish all the manga you’ve recommended to me, they've all been good so far~ I've really enjoyed Spirit Circle, and Hi no Tori has been a pleasant surprise! On the other hand, I haven't been to motivated to read Tasogare Otome x Amnesia... but I'm curious on how it'll progress. :D
