Hihi, my name is Theus and welcome to my profile!
I'm somewhat quirky according to some people, but my taste in anime may come across quite mainstream.

Some of the below our my favourite quotes:
"A person can change, at the moment when the person wishes to change."
–Haruhi Fujioka, Ouran Highschool Host Club
"You can die anytime, but living takes true courage."
– Kenshin Himura, Rurouni Kenshin
"What is right? What is wrong? In this mixed up world, deciding what is right and wrong is not easy. You can’t just go by somebody else’s rules. If you let yourself be controlled like that, you’ll just become a puppet that can’t make decisions on its own. You have to live by your rules."

Sure I'll accept the friend request, we don't have the exact same ratings on everything but there is a fair amount of common ground. If you ever wanna discuss something we both have watched/read then feel free to message me!
First off you have a strong analysis of the current relationship state between Keima and the main females. I concur with basically everything written as it's spot on and in line with my own views.
More importantly though was your discussion of Keima X Chihiro. After sifting through 350 odd posts for the episode, I had not seen one post that articulated an accurate interpretation of their dialogue outside Katsuragi's house. Even though there had been a few interesting observations and analysis, i was losing faith that an astute member would ask the basic questions and thus hit on the (sadly seemingly not so) obvious ramifications of the dialogue. When Chihiro asks the 2 questions of why he dated her and if she had a goddess inside of her, he responds that she doesn't and that's not why he went on the date. The question any mildly intelligent viewer needs to ask is WHY did he lie with that answer, and WHY could he not tell her the truth. Your point nearly fully addresses this
Keima x Chihiro - In the scene outside Katsuragi's house, when she asks him, why he went out on a date with her and did she have a goddess inside of her too. He replies that she doesn't. At that time I believed Keima was unsure whether to tell her, as it would reveal the whole story that she was one of his conquest before and so a candidate for a goddess; even at that time Chihiro didn't understand the whole story about Hell and things but she trust Keima as all the other girls do. I believe Keima was afraid to hurt her more than he had by telling the truth but also that he didn't want to drag her even more into the mess that is his life. He wanted to protect her. And when listening to Chihiro's song - "Memory of my first love", he cries and says, "I'm sorry Chihiro. Earlier, that wasn't what I meant to say". At first I foolishly thought that he was talking about the rooftop when he coldly rejected her and said he tricked her. But then I realised that it was the time outside his house when he told her that she wasn't part of anything to do with the goddesses and all that. He regretted saying that and perhaps not telling her the truth - he probably didn't know which was the right thing to say at the time. And during the rooftop when he hesitated as well on what was the right thing to say to her, since he couldn't understand why anyone would like him before he ever interacted with them at all. Chihiro believed that there was a reason why Keima went on a date with her even though he doesn't give a reason in the end. I believe Chihiro was more upset of not being part of this event, after being able to see the wings of the 6 goddesses. She wanted to be someone special, and someone special to Keima.
The main line here being what would happen IF he said that he thought she might have a goddess inside of her (which we ofcourse know was the case and the whole reason for the date). This would be a concise and truthful answer. The thing is that Chihiro would then start connecting the dots wondering WHY was she even being probed as a candidate in the first place. She couldn't have been randomly picked, and the other goddesses all happen to have close relationships with Keima that are filled with prior romantic moments/conquests. Sure Chihiro doesn't know all the details like us viewers, but she knows some of the goddesses quite well and she knows that keima has romantic ties to them to varying degrees. That will force her to contemplate (and possibly ask) what similarities SHE has to the Goddesses, since Keima clearly thought she was a candidate (ofcourse this is under the assumption that he told her the partial bare minimum truth with his response). While the memory wipe deals with the actual conquest, it doesn't wipe out all the interactions and familiarity the females had with Keima, which is why they always sorta remembered/recognized him to some extent, as is made more apparent in the manga up to this Arc. So either Chihiro will start realizing the truth, or will follow up Keima's answer asking if they had any past romantic connection that would have merited the possibility of a goddess taking over her. At that point Keima will have to come clean to the fact that they had a previous romantic connection/conquest.
So TLDR Keima does not want her to know about their past romantic rendezvous. There are many reasons for this including that as soon as this came to light between the two of them they would be forced to confront it, this time with most of the truth out their and exposed. This will likely lead to even more heartbreak for Chihiro (if that can be imagined..), since even if Keima loves her and want's to be with her now (as most believe) he can't. This is why he says at the end to himself that he is sorry and that's not what he wanted to answer her, followed by his first tears in the series.
Oh yeah, just to let you know ahead of time, the anime enters fillers after episode 62 all the way until the end. The "Enishi"/Jinchu arc is continued in the manga at chapter 152 (just in case you don't read the material that was already covered in anime form, though I have a feeling you probably will :P).
Good to see you progressing, enjoy ^^.
Also, yes... Samurai X. Wow. I can't really form much words, but since you too are now watching it, I don't really need to any ways right? Haha
Yes, the moment I saw Sieghart on your favourite characters list I knew that you were an enlightened person. That was one of the best twists in story writing history (Rave, one of my all time favourites, along with Rurouni Kenshin). You also like FMAB too, so we'll definitely be on good terms ^^.
Nice to meet you.
