I'm going to have to watch Plastic Memories now, hahaha. It's just hard for me to focus on the anime when I'm reading the subtitles, but, I hear it just takes practice. I did it once or twice, I watched Tales of the Abyss the animation when it came out (and I knew it wasn't ever going to be dubbed) because I just had to watch the best Tales of game in anime form :D. I just finished Blue Exorcist and Kyoto Saga, I thought they did a really good job with that anime! Solid 8.0 in my book. I'm glad it's looking like this will be an easier week then the last few, at least there is no more overtime, hahaha. Hope everything is going good for you over where you're at, talk to you later!
I'm so sorry that it took me so long to reply. I've had mandatory overtime all this week, and it's been super exhausting. But, I love RPGs! They are my favorite genre of game, and you'd be hard pressed to name one I haven't played :D. I'm not so much into handheld systems, but the Switch is probably going to be a system I take seriously in the gaming world. But, I'm still more of a Sony fanboy, hahaha.
Plastic Memories... I've really wanted to watch that... but it's not dubbed. I just can't bring myself to watch something that isn't dubbed unless I absolutely have to watch it subbed. I watched Tales of the Abyss the animation subbed, and it was good, but that was the last subbed anime I watched. If you give it enough praise, maybe I'll watch Plastic Memories subbed.
I just watched Citrus, all the way up to the latest episode and I like it... Maybe it's that fan service part of me, but... Mei is such a good character, story-wise!
Hahaha, no worries, I know life can be busy! I'm way, way, way behind on my list of anime/games that I need to finish. I didn't know you played video games as well, what kind do you like? I've been gaming since the beginning, or close to that, starting out with the old Odyssey system and pretty much getting every system after that! My favorite games are RPG's, specifically JRPG's, but, those have been in short supply lately. I'd have to say my favorite games of all time would be Xenogears, Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VII, Tales of the Abyss, Zelda: A Link to the Past/Ocarina of Time... well, actually, just too many to name, though, I will say that the best system ever made in terms of sporting the best games would be the original PlayStation followed by the SNES... but I digress, hahaha!
Looking forward for Ni No Kuni II and God of War coming soon! I preordered the collectors edition on both of them, super excited!
Anywho, I finished up Chihayafuru and also watched the new dub of Escaflowne. And, I have to say, I didn't hate the new dub of it, though, the Ocean dub was perfectly fine to begin with. I've got Berserk and Blue Exorcist (plus Kyoto Saga) warming up in the bull pen to watch, as well as those anime movies like Napping Princess and Urusei Yatsura too. Not to mention a couple on Funimation streaming that look promising.
Hopefully it'll be better the second time around! I have to admit, slice-of-life and fan service are some of my guilty pleasure anime. Chihayafuru is sort of like a slice-of-life mixed with kind of a sport anime (it focuses around playing karuta), but I liked it. As far as slice-of-life, I guess my favorites would be... well, Clannad (which you'll probably hate me here, but, I find it superior in every way to Kanon, and a masterpiece), Haganai, Beyond the Boundary, Anohana, Hyouka, and Haruhi to name few. And, as far as masterpieces, I assume FMB is Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood? Yeah, that's totally on the top of my list, followed by Steins/Gate, Clannad, Fate/Zero, Deathnote, Penguindrum... And, I think that's it for the masterpieces, it's pretty hard to get over a 9.0 in my book, I try to keep the club exclusive, haha! I couple of honorable mentions would be Angel Beats, Future Diary, Code Geass, Your Lie in April... maybe even Cross Ange, though I might just partial on that one.
Love, Chuunibyuo, and Other Delusions? I enjoyed it, but I have a soft spot for shows like that. I've got the collectors edition on both seasons, haha. I'd recommend Food Wars myself, and Chihayafuru just released another season, so I'm waiting on that to come in. Still waiting on the next masterpiece anime to really blow me away, the last really good one that I wasn't expecting was Yamada kun and the 7 Witches, but it wasn't a masterpiece, haha. Last masterpiece I saw must've been Penguindrum now that I think on it...
I've been doing well! Just finished watching Food Wars Season 2! It wasn't too bad, though it didn't live up to the original season. How've you been doing?
